When I went to Denmark with GF years ago, they took me to get eel as a joke. The joke was on them cause I thought that was the BOMB! I kept asking for it when they inquired where I wanted to go get dinner

Bullfrog porridge in Singapore among other mystery things. Thai chili crab, curry laksa, etc.

The girl I was having dinner with ate a live shrimp that wiggled when she was putting it into her mouth. She jumped 3 feet

When in Tokyo and at Tsujiki, I saw a chef prepare shrimp nigiri so quickly that the body was still pulsing on the bed of rice regardless that the head was already cut off.

Too much for me.

Squab (pigeon). Have had alligator, rattlesnake, frog legs, you name it in the US. Squab was in Italy.

When I lived in NYC I would see these tiny little bones all over Central Park. I later found out that the homeless were building fires and cooking the squirrels and pigeons.
