they look pretty much the same cosmetically, the major improvement of the new ones from the old is, as Ward pointed out, engine

man some people here really need to learn how to use commas and periods. It makes it a lot easier for others to read your posts.

Easiest rule to remember to put commas: FANBOYS

Put a comma(when needed) before each of the following words -

For
And
Nor
But
Or
Yet
So

And a punctuation mark like period, exclamation point, or question mark
at the end of each complete sentence or thought.

the Lexus SC430 is a very sexy car IMO, the S4 kinda blends in with other cars. the interior of the SC430 is also far superior, but the car as a whole is much less practical.

Aside from the headlights and the front bumper, nothing's really changed. Both look great.
in terms of appearance you are correct, but as for performance you couldn't be more wrong. the suspension has significantly improved on the 2005 generation including dual control arms, the engine has also improved a great deal.

Someone already covered the performance aspect, and I acknowledged that I was wrong, but thanks for the review.

Personally, I'd probably avoid both cars.

Audi is plagued by mechanical problems.
One of my friends has an S4 and another
has an A4 3.0. Both cars have been in the
shop more times than i can remember.
I had to pick up my friend who has the A4
because the engine failed on him!
Trust me, your brother thinks BMW's have problems,
he obv has not owned an audi yet.

With the Lexus I doubt you will experience
any of that. Downside: Too much power +
poor handling = not fun
ALso, the SC is due for a major change very
soon.

BTW- S4 goes in 5.7, 14.2@99(auto)
v. SC in 5.8 14.4@98

unless he's traveling over 150mph
he wont feel the difference in performance;
but ehh stay away from them both.

if he's willing to spend that much $$$ my choice:
550i
more fun+more power+more prestige
Personally, thats the only other car id get over the e90.

PErsonally I would go with an BMW(5 series or the 335/330 coupe) or a freaking Cayman. Lexus is reliable but it's just another toyota (bland styling). I actually thought about getting a used SC but decided it's too "gay".
