Just give us a normal looking gauge cluster BMW!
Those days with analog gauges are gone, completely agreed the newer version is terrible the RPM is the worse.

Ok, so by the time I get my new x5, it will have an outdated iDrive system?
I hope they keep providing decent updates and features on ID7 in stead of focusing completely on the ID8...

That was rough, so many issues, noone to turn to. Lack of transparency and information.
Hopefully more customizable displays.

The new gauge cluster in the G series is an absolute disaster, particularly the reverse tach which I still haven't gotten used to and probably never will. Why they thought going anti clockwise on any type of dial would be an improvement is just beyond logic. TBH I couldn't give a toss what BMW do with the idrive but specifically on M cars I wish they'd offer an option for traditional analog dials. Will never happen though but how cool would it be if they did!

I guess we'll see iDrive 8 "Lite" on the MY2022 5-Series

Hopefully they do a better job rolling this out across the lineup this time around.
