My local dealer has Z06 available, been there about a month or so. It doesn’t have Z07 package.

They were asking $25k over but I’m sure that is negotiable.

Standard C8 is easily available to order at MSRP or lower.

Well i spoke to the sales manager there and he said for the Z06, he does the custom order because they will only get 2-3 cars for the year.

I thought it would have been smarter to sell the allocation and let the buyer custom order their car.

With the higher rates and further economic pressures - ppl are thinking twice about dropping $150k on a car. I think Chevy overestimated how much ppl are willing to pay for a Z06 - it’s basically a new target market compared to C7 which was significantly cheaper.

GT3RS is a bargain compared to Ferrari 296
296 is a bargain compared to Pagani

Indeed they are. Make a list of cars listed for sale at a given price point, say $100k, and comparable to the Corvette. Compare specs and report back.

I have a 991.1 Carrera 4S 7MT coupe and can say with certainty my 2006 Z4M with the S54 gives as much and sometimes more joy and they can be had for $50k Canadian or less. Wouldn’t need to buy the convertible 911 to replace it for sure. Technical profiency, especially braking and cornering, 911 hands down. But engine, shifting and top down, as good or better!

I know we can play the value for money game all day in the car world with all kinds of different cars but yeah. Couldn’t help myself on this point.

Makes me so glad I just bit the bullet and bought my “within reach” dream cars before things went nuts. I’ll probably just try to hang on to them as cost to re-acquire or replace is just ridiculous.

I have never driven one but would suspect you're right and they are handsome enough. My issue is I MUST have 2+2 seats, maybe when kids are gone I cash out and get a Z4. But right now, kids ride with me weekly.

The c8z is a monster. I didn’t finish break in but so far the hype is real. And the sound is absolutely bananas. Crazy people are complaining about the price but the same are willing to pay the same amount for an m3cs or an m4csl lol. Both that would get demolished by the z06 on any track.
