Mine is flagged to be inspected for the proper alignment, taking the car in in the morning to get the airbag recall done (finally, it’s been available for a while but I was too busy with work). Hopefully they won’t have the car more than a day!

I don't know if in the US you get a replacement car for free for the time of service repairs. I got a new X5 in Poland, so I don't complain that the repair took 2 working days in my case (Friday - Monday) and in practice 4 days.

A replacement car isn’t guaranteed, but if I ask ahead of time they can have one for me. When they did my ceramic coat, I got an iX as a loaner car for the day. I have 3 cars, so I’m not worried that they won’t give me one this time!

Took my car in for service this morning for the airbag recall and the headlight gap recall, just got it back about 2 hours ago. Apparently mine was within spec and didn’t need any adjustment (which I assumed, because visually all the panels looked fitted properly)

Sad to say though, I checked with the dealer to see if they could code out the horn honk when leaving the car with the engine running, and if there was any coding they could do for the throttle lag, and they said they couldn’t after checking. The dealer is typically very coding friendly if you’ve done it yourself, but service advisor said that BMW can see almost everything now when you bring your car in for service, and any coding now has to be validated by BMW.
