Probably only to the iDrive cars, and I doubt there's much of a weight difference. But you said it, the cars are portly to begin with. If you want lightweight, unfortunately, BMW is absolutely not the car to buy. But for a good, sporty daily driver, they are hard to beat.

Already got it!
The 2009 IDrive already has this... I use it all the time. It's pretty amazing as far as the navigation goes, but yes it still has some recognition issues...for example ... WILSHIRE BLVD it can't figure out... not even close. No matter how you pronounce it. Either way it is incredibly amazing...
I didn't know the music search part, but i will be checking it out!!!! |

It does the same thing as the video... Unless i'm missing something...
Voice Control for all Navi Functions to input City, Street, House Number EDIT: Just watched the video again and the difference is that you can state the address all in one take. Right now I have to wait for system to ask me "CITY" -- Los Angeles "STREET" -- Wilshire Blvd "HOUSE #" - 300 |

![]() ![]() I believe the BMW factories shut down for the summer, and reopen in Aug. to begin production on the next MY cars, which typically arrive at dealers in Sept and Oct.

I guess the only question is will 2009ers get a program update. Not holding my breath on that one. BMW already screwed me up the butt by removing the wiring for Alarm in March.
