i think covering up how rita is missing but the baby is ok might be hard. they might suspect him more.

im not sure how he will be next season. he could go on a killing spree or he could hold back to raise his son (which of course wouldnt be as interesting to us viewers). i wonder if he will teach his son the ways of killing and the codes.

i think the two kids will end up with ritas parents.

For some reason, I have always pictured the series ending with Dexter strapped to an electric chair and it zooming in on his face, and a little smile coming from the corner of his mouth and then it goes to black before anything happens.

In the episode when they were raiding Arthurs house and Dexter had his vision seeing his family escorted out, and he was talking to his father, his dad said something to the effect that his family will have to watch WHEN he is executed. Not if. I thought that was interesting because Dexter didn't think twice about that or give his father that look.

What is also interesting is are they going to pick up right where they left off or are they going to go like 3 years later? I think it would be much better if they picked up where they left off. It definitely leaves them with so many options. Did anyone see the interview with Michael C Hall and John Lithgow at the end of the episode? Pretty interesting.

I think Dexter can't hide Rita's body, I agree with Ender, it would be too suspicious.

I think it would be sooo interesting if Dexter confessed to Deb about who he really is. I cant wait for next season.

I was on ambien when I watched the finale, so I don't remember every detail, but wasn't Dexter with Trinity at the time Rita would have gone home to get her ID?

It was Trinity. Think they talk about it in the interview after the show. While Dexter was at Trinity's pad, Trinity was at Ritas. After that he went to get his car.

Thanks to the jackass who posted the big spoiler in this thread yesterday the final did nothing for me, since i knew whats gonna happen

However, the ending was blah regardless. Timeline had some serious gaps, Rita murder story was not developed enough. And how the hell did he find Trinity (presumably AFTER Trinity killed Rita), managed to take the oil cap off Trinity's car and then follow him for miles and miles until he blew his engine? Made no sense....

Also, with all the talk about how Dexter going to get busted, it seems to me that Season 5 may be the last one.

P.S. Deb is NOT hot. lol
