The fraternity houses at my school smelled like urine and vomit. The guys were generally retarded. Sorority sisters were chubby at best.

UMass Amherst.
On the bright side there were 2 all female schools within 10 minutes of us. Despite the dykes, there was a plethora of carnivorous 18yr old girls craving man meat. |

We raged, and we raged well. I have to say, in terms of the whole picture, frat parties couldn't even compare to raging house parties around puffton, hobart, and that whole general area. Not to mention those obscure parties in Hadley out in the middle of nowhere with hundreds of people. Those were the days.

when you split the check at a dinner with your friends, are you paying them to be your friends. Ahh no. Dues are used for common goods every1 enjoy, parties, alcohol, a big box of condom, chapter insurance, retreats whatever. Its not like o shit all of a sudden this big bad fraternity tax dude comes out of no where takes your money and never see it again. That's called the fraternity of Uncle Sam |

We pay a 1-time candidate fee, 1-time initiate fee (mostly for your badge), rent, and social fee/semester for booz/entertainment. With rent, it comes out cheaper than dorms and about the same as any apartment, yet you get much more value.

My frat is the good ole USMC.
Lol. I'm in college now after getting off of active duty, and this place has horrible frats. I went to Auburn before the Marines and it was pretty good. My brother was in Acacia at Indiana U, and omg that place rocked... |
