I too was suprised to see all the educators. And they said education is the reward in its-self. At least that's what they tell me at review time.

My secret: I found a wife with a good job (a pharmacist). Not that I'm a slacker, or anything (I'm an engineer). But, at least I don't have to support her.......leaves more $$$ for toys: .......oh, and for the kids, too.

My first day of work...one of my 3rd graders "gone postal" on me and the class. Wouldn't do jack.....started breaking pencils and crayons. Kicking glue bottles and crayon trays. Slamming desks and chairs. Before the VP showed up to take him, the kid took off, and somehow the gate was opened due to school renovation/construction. The VP and 2 teachers went after him in the street. The VP grabbed him, got punched, let go. Then finally the District Police took him down with a chicken wing arm lock. The kid hasn't been to class since.....and it's been HEAVEN! They assured me,99.9%, he'll get some help and placement....in a severely disturbed classroom environment with a one-on-one aide.

p.s. He was accidently put in a regular classroom by mistake. Thank God!
thats was a nice first day.

self employ here.

Bought/built a nice house in Da Hood, otherwise we couldn't have new/nice cars or other toys. IT manager for a small city, wife works for Lockheed and brings home good cash, plus we both have a couple of side jobs. 325 was $215 more than the previous minivan. My truck payment is $220 and I have 4 more payments, so I kick her a bit of cash and told insurance *I* was the primary driver on the 325 (A+ driving record for at least 10 years)

Yeah, I get lots of crap too. It was much worse when I had the 911, but the BMW gets a bit of heat.
Funny, they don't know how to manage their money, then give me crap for doing well. Even my boss who makes about 50% more than I do and is married to a lawyer still gives me crap for having a nicer car than him. He must blow his money on hookers and coke.

I'm in t he Army, went to Iraq for a year. Sold my Toyota and used most of my savings on my 330i. I would still be driving my Toyota if it wasn't for Iraq.

I/T engineer for a major insurer. Very lucky, 27 years with the same company. Good job, good boss and more importantly, a good 401K.
