i'm from Richmond and i have to say that i'm not surprised to see shit like this. there's a lot of racial tension there because of how segregated the neighborhoods are and the gentrification of areas like the bottom and church hill.

Richmond's not like NYC where a white person can walk into a black neighborhood and pass through uninhibited. people in Richmond will say shit to you and try to intimidate and or assault you. it's f'ed up but that's how it is there.

having said that, i hope they catch these hyenas and throw em to the lions.

What this country needs is a crack team of vigilante justice dealers. Wiping these low life scum from the face of the earth and out of the gene pool would be doing the country a huge favor.

1) We wouldn't have to spend money responding to, investigating, and cleaning up their crimes.

2) We wouldn't have to pay their way through their lifetime in prison.

3) We wouldn't have to worry about them reproducing and multiplying like they do.

What makes you think this is race related? Sounds to me like the white guy was talking shit or said something to one of the black guys that he didn't like and got jumped.

And I don't know where everyone is getting this 5 on 1 stuff....There are two guys getting jumped. And I can hear one of the white guys saying "Do you really want to do something?" "No, I really want to do something"

I've spent 6 years in Richmond from 18-23 and gotten held at gun point once, my house in the city broken into, seen my roommate get held at gunpoint and so on. Richmond is the former murder capital of the U.S.

Shit can get ugly real quick if you don't know what you're doing. These guys who got jumped clearly had no clue what they were doing/saying. I'm not making excuses for the black guys, but the white guys got to know better.

I don't walk around downtown richmond anymore without a gun. Plain and simple.

It'd need to be a team effort for sure, but we need a lot more than that. First we'd really need to "address" the people who cater to, and defend, that mentality and behavior. They are the biggest part of the problem.

And, really, if we can't kill them (and unfortunately we can't without penalty, and we'd never be able to eradicate them all), we should at least be able to permanently export them. Maybe we could even sell them to other countries....

i get what you're saying and all... but it's kind of sad to need to walk around with a gun to feel safe. then again, it would probably solve a lot of problems if everyone carried a firearm. that way even a 80 year old grandma has the potential to be deadly. crime would definitely go down.

fair enough, i didn't have the sound on. but based on my experiences growing up there i feel like the black people in Richmond have a lot of animosity toward the white people there. maybe my reaction is just a reflection on me though.

anyway, if those guys were talking shit and they got jumped then they're lucky they didn't get killed. that's the truth.
