Wiz Khalifa's "Goodbye" is an amazing song and probably in my top 20 all time favorite. But Lupe's got more hit songs.

Lupe > Wiz everyday of the week

Wiz is here today but will be gone tomorrow. There's nothing special about him as a rapper, he just seems like every other rapper except he actually made a hit.

Lupe actually is a good writer and yeah you might not agree with his views but his wordplay and lyrical content are amazing. People picketed for his album. Yeah Lasers wasn't great but it did go Platinum. The Cool is still my favorite album of his

I can't stand musicians mixing in their political views with their music. I don't agree with any rappers about politics anyway.

After listening to Lupe's and Wiz's new albums the past couple days, I definitely have to say that I think Lupe is better. Yeah, I'm not a fan of his political views but I get sick and tired of Wiz rapping about weed every other line. Lasers has definitely grown on me and i like it.

Appreciating and liking an artist's (define that how you will) product does not have to be predicated upon agreeing with their political views. Popular music is (generally) a very liberal art form...someone does not have to agree with what a lyric says in order to appreciate and enjoy the song.

If you think he should ignore his opinions on the matter, then you really have no place in this conversation and can back off right now. I may not support every lyric Lupe ever wrote, but what he's trying to do is promote political awareness, how can you be against that?

Also, my dad listens to Rush in the office a lot. I definitely think he's a pent up racist.
