A lot of great ideas guys, thanks for all of the help so far.
I realize going with my girlfriends parents might sound soporific or boring we will prob be doing mostly our own things. I am sure I will be back within the next year for one of my friends bachelors party. Her parts like to have a good time and I am sure her dad and I will end up going to strip clue while they shop or something. One thing I failed to think about is how cold it's going to be! A high of 53, that's freezing for my Florida blood. I need to pick out a show to go to, but I am so lazy ha. I hate planning trip actives for some reason, ha. So far this year my GF and I have been to Jamaica and New York city and we had a blast so Vegas should be fun also, T minus 5 days until im there! |

Haha, those are gold diggers; in most casinos there is an overabundance of 60+ year old senior citizen ladies smoking cigarettes that are addicted to gambling and slot machines...

You call it naysaying; I call it telling the truth... Whearas a lot of people like to hype stuff; I like to tell it how it is. Unless you fit the profile that I've named in my previous post; I would be very surprised if you have fun in Vegas. What's most important is that OP will be with his loved ones and will get to go somewhere; that's always neat... but the reality is there are a hundred more interesting places to go than Vegas given his profile. Like I said; if he enjoys gambling and has money to burn it will be fun; but I am guessing OP is younger (college age) and is going with his girlfriend; which I doubt will be incredibly fun which is why I've named the best places to go given his profile.

vegas is not fun without money.
but for someone to say that it is not good for younger adults just doesnt know the city well or has only visited the strip. theres a lot more around the city. |

The truth or your OPINION?
I do have lots of fun gambling and seeing shows and sneaking peaks at big boobs when my wife isn't looking. My wife and I have been almost 10 times in 3 years together. So yes, we love it. We always discover something new each time we go. I don't disagree that other places are fun too, but he's not going to other places. He's headed to Vegas and asked about fun stuff to do in Vegas.

One thing I don't recommend is getting your idea of the city from the movie; "the Hangover" which while funny does an excellent job of over glorifying the place.

Things I like to see/do on a non gambling trip. of course you can do a lot of these in ANY big city
but if you dont like gambling/drinking/clubs then i wouldnt come here. but free alcohol when you play penny slots/nickle slots are great. eating michelin star restaurants (many in 1 place) or cheap steak for 5 bux hotel stuff magic shows comedy shows circque du soleil shows free or paid exhibts vegas non hotel stuff http://www.exoticsracing.com/ http://www.vegasindoorskydiving.com/ zip line downtown las vegas shoot machine guns fishing @ lake mead golf shopping (name brands all in 1 city very close together) and outlet shopping natural stuff is important.. its like saying hawaii is boring if you exclude the beach. |
