+1.

In April of 2001 I Purchased an AP1 S2000. Silverstone with red leather. Loved that car. It had the best six speed manual of any car I have driven. Light and tossable the car handled like a dream and had a wonderful OEM exhaust note. I drove it like I stole it and never game me a single problem. Saw one in Boston this weekend. It literally made me depressed for the rest of the day.

I would still be driving my 2006 Lancer Evolution IX today if it had not been stolen from me. Such an agile car that had plenty of power, but I did hate the negative attention I got from ricers and cops.

There was nothing wrong with it. I was just worried about the miles creeping up to 100k. I traded it in for a 2001 740iL which became a maintenance nightmare and nearly drove me into the poorhouse. Should have held onto the E39.

I migrated back to HK and sold my 1.5 Blitz Supercharged Echo to my Buddy.

Also had a Close Ratio 4.3 FD 5MT. A lot of shocked faces when the light goes green.

Unfortunately some lady eventually T-boned it, and the blower went to another friend.

And yes it's BMW Carbon Black

First BMW and an excellent car. Sold it in 2002 for a stupid WRX.

Haunted me for over 10 years, finally got one again 2 months ago. Super Happy.

He loved that car so much that he bought another '72 junker el Camino when I was in high school and we rebuilt it together. It ended up the first car in my name and I still have it!

It's funny how many s2000 drivers that are here. For me of course its my 1994 firebird forumla convertable. Was red also. Amazing south florida car. I had intake/chip/exhaust on it also. It was retarded fast and sexy. I sold it when i went away to college because it had 110k miles on it and I wanted something I didn't have to worry about. It was mint though. Sold it to a european guy that was shipping it over there.

I regret getting rid of my 3000GT. It wasn't the most reliable car and took a lot of upkeep but it was my first car and I spent a lot of time tracking down one I could afford while I was in high school. The 3000GT/Stealth community was also a great group of people and I went to a lot of meets and gatherings with them. I always thought it would be cool to keep my first car forever, but its not a practical dream.

I regret getting rid of it, but I still would rather have my Bimmer.

I actually used to work at a Chrysler dealership. Upkeep was EXPENSIVE on those. I remember I did a tune-up on one, and the spark plugs were $80 each x 6 = $500 just for the plugs. I think black book time on the plugs was something like 3 hours as well. We also had a couple where the exhaust valve went (which changes the exhaust tone on them) and that was like $1000 and there were a couple of poor soles that had to replace the rear steering rack. Four wheel steering is cool I guess, until it breaks

The 3000GT/Stealth was a tech showcase but wow they got pricy to fix in a hurry.

Funny, I sold my M Coupe last year and have been looking for a fun weekend car to replace it, but haven't been able to decide between a Boxster Spyder, the new Boxster or a BRZ. But in the search, I keep coming back to my second choice when I bought my M Coupe, you guessed it, an AP1 S2000. I'm deep into analysis paralysis and can't make a decision, and all of you piping up about missing them isn't helping a thing.

Modified 02 NSX and modified 07 Z4MC. But honestly the NSX looks great on the outside but the interior was pure shit.

I miss my 2000 S2000... The top was tattered and there was a cut in the plastic back window, but I loved how that car drove, completely stock. *siiiiigh* If it was up to me, I would have just held on to that car as a daily and had my fun car for... well... fun.

E39 M5 Imola Red with full Dinan cat back exhaust. "The Beast". Sold it when my wife was pregnant with our first child. Now that I have 3 boys and don't need to shuttle them around in my car I'm back in a BMW.

Mine was my first car - a 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby. I know I know, it's a K car, but with the 2.2 Turbo II and Mopar Performance computer, that thing was a blast to drive. It would easily hang with Mustangs and Camaros of it's time, and it got the best fuel economy of any car I have ever owned with a record 42 MPG highway (a record for me anyway!)

It also handled pretty well, with massive sway bars. I took a cloverleaf on-ramp at 100 km/h and it just stuck (they are rated at 40 km/h). I also was young and stupid and drove it at 240 km/h once (150 MPH).

I sold it to some jack-ass who trashed it right away too which also made me sad.

I actually saw it come up on a used car website a couple of years ago but the Mrs wouldn't let me buy it back.

I really loved that car and the biggest mistake was I bought a 1995 Dodge Neon Sport to replace it with. That thing was a POS. Way less power, way noisier, and worse fuel economy.

Now of course I do love my 335 too. It will be another hard car to get rid of when it's day comes.
My 88 Shelby Z was a pile of crap.

Car I miss the most was my H/C/I/E etc 93 GT. It was showroom new inside & almost new outside. I would like to still have my C6 Vette too.
