Good grief....the thread just RRREEEEEEEEEEKKSSSSS of love, happiness, sadness, great photos and people who are nuts about their pets...Sadly, I have no images of my own solid black 15 year old Bubba Cat...a real sweetheart of a cat...but sweeter was his solid black sister who had to be put down about 6 years ago....damn, I was staying with my grandma and we both cried for days when she died...I imagine when Bubba has to go, I will need a day ore two off from work...

More like a camera whisperer. I was wrestling the camera the whole way on this and the first two shots were OOF, but the 5D MkIII caught up. My 7D would never have caught up. With the birds, it's simply shot after shot and also standing still in one place for long periods of time, until they come to me. (You gotta go where they like to go and then count on fifteen or twenty-minutes wait before they'll relax and come back while you're there. Of coures, it doesn't always work).
