Weird situation in life at the moment. I'm basically living with my girlfriend to avoid my roommates. On the bright side, I'm living in California.
Had a huge fight the other day because she is a total backseat driver, told her I'd never drive both of us around, her car or mine. Now I can't drive without having to fly back to Illinois The house loan got denied because of my paperwork status, which has been delayed for a few months at this point. Without a job, no one (understandably) wants to give me a 6 figure loan. Without the papers I can't start work, can't fully move out of my college town... Anticipating the loan approval I moved non-essentials to a storage unit near the house, but not all. I basically have stuff in 3 locations across 2 states. I'm making do but it's not easy. On the bright side I'm getting all my deposit for the house back so at least financially it's okay. Long rant - sorry for being away for a few weeks then opening like this |

Sounds like quite the situation.. I truly hope it smooths out for you. Personally I'd hate to be in one such as yours. I wish you all the best.
I'm struggling with how I'm going to move out on my own currently. Mostly broke, with a job I cannot transfer from (owned locally) I find myself stuck. I need to move somewhere else (out of state) and just work on myself for a little bit but money seems to always be in the way. I don't know how I can possibly do all of this on my own. With hardly any money, no career (yet), and not much experience in any field.. How am I going to do this? I don't want to be dependent on my parents. Seems like anyone with less than a college degree has to live paycheck to paycheck when they're alone. I don't know how to go about this..

In my company we're working at reduced staffing since March last year. They'd lowered the monthly wage to meanwhile 87% and cut all other benefits like 13th bonus salary. If you're not flying or doing other special (bonussed) work, then its hard to earn your necessary monthly Money amount.
Lots of my money reserves had molten since that point last year, I have to face 2 upcoming huge dentist bills (mandatory) and see the big inspection at my car into march is coming closer. I confess, that I have my worries with that situation...

Press F to pay respects
F My parents made some cash with Apple way back when, then Microsoft in the 90s. While it's not my accomplishment and therefore I'm not bragging, they're doing quite well for themselves. My mom is strange. She lives in a two bedroom apartment with a detached garage and hallway entrance (hell mine has a private entrance and attached garage). She drives a Subaru Outback. She currently works at Kohl's part time. She's always talked about buying a Porsche... But she doesn't. But she does buy Michael Kors like EVERYTHING. I recently went through her finances with her because she's old (oof) and it was eye opening. I didn't realize she had THAT much because of how she lived. Wow. It just makes her lifestyle mighty strange. I tried to prod her into a Panamera lol but she says it's too low now But I'd bet a Safari 911 would be PERFECT. I'm not bragging about my parents' accomplishments as they aren't mine, for the record. |

There aren't too many of the newer models that inspire me. Maybe the M2. They are fast, but that's about it. Otherwise they drive like giant barges with hideous grills.

Something comical I've recently started doing to people lately who do this. Me: What's with the face like a slapped ass? What's wrong with you? Them: I have a lot on my mind. Me: Such as? Them: Just a lot. Me: Oh! Care to talk about it or need an ear? Them: .....well.... Me: (the second they start talking, I interrupt with) I'm only fucking with you, I don't really care. Thanks Letterkenny! |

I'm so exited. The kitchen set and the dining room chandelier I ordered back in late October are finally in and should be delivered 2nd week of February. New sliding patio doors being installed first week of March. Still waiting on window treatments I ordered 8 weeks ago to come in.
Now if I could only get my hands on a Kitchen Aid dishwasher and refrigerator. I'm so happy I didn't need any essential furniture. Everything is a wait....

I confess I'm pretty excited for my wife's manual Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to arrive. I've never before been this excited to drive any of my wife's choices in vehicles and it feels really odd.
Plus the dealer just emailed me the invoice sheet to sign and somewhere (though I can't figure out exactly where - none of my options are missing, and MSRP is the same, discount is a little higher than I remember, but not enough to explain it as it is maybe up $40), somewhere they made a mistake. Either on that invoice or the verbal deal we reached days earlier. But either way, the invoice they just emailed me to sign has my monthly payments coming in at $14 less per month than what I negotiated, so I'm chalking that approximately $500 over the term to be another unexpected win...a small one, but pleasurable nonetheless. So I'll sign once I get my wife to look at it as well to make sure I'm not missing something, and then request a copy of the sheet signed by everyone so that I have it in my possession. In general, my confession is that I love to negotiate with car dealerships and see what I can get out of them. My wife sat through one negotiation 10 years ago and felt so bad for the guy that she refuses to come with me anymore...I don't mind, I prefer to be alone and not have to worry about what someone else might say. She likes the deals I get though, she has no issues with those lol. |

That's great to hear! In about a year and a half I'll hit you up so you can help me lol. I can't stand dealing with dealerships. I feel like I'm getting screwed even if I get a good deal. It's strange and not pleasurable. |
