People who unecessarily do "reply to all". I don't need to know how much sugar you want in your coffee and that has nothing to do with the business email originally sent...keep that between you all.

Golfers who take golf really seriously. Unless you're trying to join the PGA tour, lighten the fuck up and have some fun on the course. It's supposed to be a game.

While we're on the subject, though; I hate it when someone forwards a whole email string to a third person that was meant to stay between me and the original recipient. If some issue comes up that requires a third person be brought in, start a new email or at least edit out the part of the string which has no bearing on the issue. Knowing this happens from time to time, I'm am now very careful about what I say in any business email.

It so much fun to fuck with golfers. I have no idea how they can take it so seriously, but they always do. I don't play, but I annoy them to death as a hobby.

I used to golf every weekend, sometimes twice a weekend, with three of my most fun coworkers. Great guys, lots of fun to be with, both at work and at the bar. We would get on the course and I'm laughing my ass off and pounding beers while these guys were yelling at themselves andf throwing clubs. I don't get it.

Agreed. This is what has kind of turned me off about the sport. You have to dress like you're going to church, you have to be quiet, and you have to wait forever for the guy ahead of you to take his 15 practice swings.

Golf sounds really miserable unless you have your own course. I'd like to see it more like a biathlon, where it's based primarily on how much time it takes to get the ball in the hole (and you have to carry your own clubs, so most people will probably just take a couple...perhaps a driver that you turn upside down to make into a putter, or with a detachable putter).
E-mail abusers are the worst! They ruin the productivity enhancement of the medium, because now I have to ignore most of what's in my inbox, and I sometimes miss something important. What's worse is if you're forwarded an existing chain with some obscure subject, and the part that involved you was half way down the chain and people wonder why you didn't act on that  If you want me to do something, do a personalized email or talk to me in person- don't save 30 seconds of your time and expect me to spend a half hour figuring out whether you wanted something. |

So, luckily for most of my life (knock on wood), both being stuck behind someone and working cashier, most people who pay with change pay the majority of the bill normally, then $2-3 in loose change, but mostly quarters. However, both feeling sorry for the people behind her in line and remembering a disgusting time, I wish I was making this up... I had a summer job at Universal Studios when I was 16, and I was working concessions at the pizza joint. One lady with severe neurofibromatosis (where you get these bubble-like tumors all across your body (WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGERY) comes up, and I'm grossed out as it is, but stuck with her MUCH longer than my 16 year-old self was comfortable seeing and comprehending... All I wanted was money for my first car... Like I always said back then: "Missing Persons sang it best when they say 'nobody walks in LA!'" Anyway, I'm the only one working the registers as of the moment, working as fast as I can since the line was out the door AND I'm 3 seconds away from puking, but nope. Gotta tough it out. So, I ring her up, praying that whatever she's got is not communicable (I didn't know at the time that it wasn't; I was scared s**tless when I got typical teenage acne for the next 2 months though )... Then she decides she doesn't want the tiramisu anymore, which meant the manager has to override the register (and his ass takes forever to come out), holding up the line. I was almost tempted to buy it off her, but I didn't want them cooties. Then, we knock off $3 and she says calmly, but a voice like The Exorcist: "Whew, glad that saved a few bucks" and the total was $16. Guess how she pays? Nickels and dimes, NO paper cash and only about $3 of it was quarters. WHO THE HELL GOES TO A F**KING THEME PARK CARRYING ALL THAT F**KING CHANGE?!?!?!?

People who wear their new hat for days/weeks/months/years after they bought it and leave the glittery shining manufacturer's sticker on the bill. WTF??? We don't CARE who made your hat.
101 thru downtown. My son had a baseball tournament in Whittier on Thursday night. I checked all day on Google and it was 1:20 no traffic, about 1:45 in current traffic. Right before we leave I check again and its suddenly 2:45???!!!! No accidents on the route. It ends up taking me over 3 hours to drive 74 miles. On the way home, I make it in 1:05. I'm driving (OK, it's a figurative idea) by one of the signs that displays time until the next major whatever. As I'm limping by the one that says Downtown, it goes from 30 to 40!!!!!! If my son wasn't asleep, I would have had him get out and walk along the shoulder to see which was really faster. The wife was NOT amused by this idea, and she refused to participate herself. I reset the trip before leaving Thursday night. We had another game Saturday. It took me over 9 hours to travel a grand total of 173.4 miles. |

A family of 5 walks by and they're all wearing flip flops so you have 10 flipflops going "flap, flap flap, flap" all out of order. Rubber and plastic slapping against people's feet. That gets to me

Wifey walks around our hardwood floors with her floppy, clog-like shoes and drives me nuts. Ker-clop, ker-clop, ker-clop...ad nauseum. If there were two of her, it would sound like a horse walking around.

...OH WAIT... WTF am I complaining about?? My last jobs have been extreme cheapskate micromanagers where I can't even BLINK without the manager breathing down my neck and driving me insane! Oh, and I quit smoking... Formally 4 years ago but 3 months since my last cheat and don't have a craving, so I can't join them... But it WOULD be nice to be like those people that can jog and frolic to their heart's content though, so don't get me wrong... I... ... Never mind.
