It says 4NW luxury dash, which looking at it, it looks like leather but I stand corrected I now believe it is Sensatec.

We only have Sensatec dash available in the US

4NW is listed as "SensaTec Dashboard" on US spec. They would use a different code for a leather dash

the very base model of 2023 X1 in the US does seem to come with the plain plastic dash. It has no stitching along the edges and felt like just a plastic dash, at least that was how I remembered it when I saw one at my dealer a few months before getting mine. Even its upper door panels were just plastic with no stitched Sensatec material. The MSRP was around $39,000, meaning it was ordered with almost no options/packages.

the video below shows a similar "inexpensive" X1 from a dealer in Charlotte, NC.

yes, if you look in the ordering guide, it's in the xLine Package .... but that's becoming standard for 2024, so I'm guessing SensaTec dash is becoming standard now.

Picked her up! Man, what can I say? This thing is going to rippppp once it’s broken in, drove it home about 20 miles, driving home has never been so fun.

It did feel a little loose (traction not as tight) but I think the summer rubber needs some breaking in and the temps were quite low today.

Nevertheless here she is.

wish I had picked the Storm Bay color as well..

my Space Silver sometimes look gray and/or light green under certaining lighting condiditions (not really sure why). at night, sometimes it looked almost as dark as gunmetal grey.

I never saw Space Silver before my X1 arrived at the dealer. I had hoped that it was more shiny, like the Brilliant Silver color on my old Mercedes.(which is really bright under the sun)

I’m of the exact opposite opinion! I absolutely love space silver and I am so very glad it’s nothing like brilliant silver. I love how it changes colour in the day compared to night. The darker silver colour is truly amazing IMO.

I was torn between space silver and frozen pure grey, but glad I went with SS

This is a very unpopular opinion, but I actually don’t like storm bay 🙈

oh.. don't get me wrong! I still love my Space Silver. I was just surprised that it wasn't as bright as I had hoped.

Of course, if Frozen Grey didn't cost so much more, I would have opted for that color. My X1's MSRP was already at US$48,000 and I really didn't want to push it over $50,000 by adding on the Frozen Grey color. Another reason was that I thought it would be hard to take care of, but I later found out that Frozen Grey and other matt paint are actually quite easy to take care of, as long as the proper cleaners and carwashign method were followed. Oh well, maybe next time?

I am still shocked every time someone mentions the cost of the X1 in the USA. I honestly think it would be cheaper to buy it there, import it, and pay the tax than to order it here (the X1 starting price here is €48,000 ($51) - and my iX1 ended up being €71,500 ($75))

Regarding Frozen Pure grey, the colour is amazing, and yes, taking care of it is easier than other frozen colours, but every single FPG X1 I’ve seen in Austria has had some sheen building up! Especially in the lower section of the cars. No rock chips yet, but winter and road salt are coming 🥶 - maybe a matte wrap would be a good option?

One colour option I wish we had when ordering is Skyscraper Grey (available for the X2!)

premium gas was $3.19 per gallon yesterday. US$3.19 is about 3 euros. 1 US gallon = 3.785 liters. Based on that, I figure it's about 0.79 euro per liter of premium gas. When I fill up the gas tank of my X1, it's usually less than US40.

(regular gas is even cheaper at $2.96 per gallon)

pretty sure premium gas is much more expensive in Austria or the rest of the EU?

if I drove an extra 5 miles, I could even have gotten premium gas for $2.94... and enjoyed a couple of dogs and a Slurpee!

Premium is usually between $4.50 - $5 a gallon near me. But I just learn to play the system. I have $1 off per gallon in Shell rewards right now.
