You clearly bought the wrong Jag-wahr. An american saying Brits don't know how to build a car that handles that's hilarious

Goes Like Hell (Some more).
My brother in law bought a GLH new, and my friend in high school (late 80s), bought a lightly used, low mileage one (also GLH). Just saw one the other day pull up and park at my workplace. I was walking by at the time and I was going to say something, but then a 20-something hipster got out. Based on the condition of it, my assumption was he was not a car guy, although I was impressed with his taste. OK, most of these are not embarrassing. I'll up the ante with a current crush on the Fiesta ST (or Focus ST): |

Just to get things back on track, I always liked the overstyled X Type Wagon.

Ha, there's a guy near me with a pretty, brown V12 roadster and he was in the tire shop having them caulk his wheels so he could run the cheapest modern tires possible. It's weird how you can be relatively rich and cheap AF at the same time.

In all honesty, even cheap modern tyres would make a huge difference to the way it handles compared with 'high end' period tyres. Tyre technology has come on leaps and bounds since the 60's/70's |

I do love those coupes. Friend of mine has a V8 swapped one....
But I tell you my 95 X300 Vanden Plas....I have maybe $2000 total in it and it is spectacular. Paid very little for it with a list of things that I knew I could fix. Knew the original owner and how it was maintained. He offered it to me for what carmax offered him (for a 22 year old 101000 mile jag). Needed Tires, shocks, bushings, slight hesitation, abs light on. I have it now to the point everything but the brake fluid, coolant and rear diff have been changed. New belts, plugs, tires, shocks. Cleaned ABS sensors and viola no abs light. Cleaned EGR, MAF, throttle body and injectors. Changed oil, ATF, PS fluid, belts, and scrounged some fabulous salvage yard parts from THREE of this model in the junk yard right now (come on XJR!!!). Coils, EGR, crank position sensor, relays, fuel injectors (cleaned these and swapped them in..now the oem are getting cleaned and set as spare). Even made a pool ball shift knob. Will do new brake lines, pads and fluid soon. Then the fun stuff. Sourced an XK8 rear diff support and will be adding a rear sway and getting an XJR front sway and finding some wider XJR wheels. Poly subframe bushings to replace the worn out OEM ones. Going to do poly suspension pivots as well and then crank in some caster and camber. Engine is fine at around 260 hp. Could be a little louder it is very hush hush... Car uses a GM 4L60E trans, just like a vette, camaro and Chevy truck. Manual swaps are possible but why? All about the "Grace, Space and Pace"! Over in England they do this with them.....

And the E Type had the absurd in board rear discs to boot. Old engineering is pretty funny. |

Maybe it's the M Coupe ownership history talking, but I've always held a little hope for finding a good Europa.

I loved my 1972 3.0 CS. I owned it from new until 2001. And the Z4 and Gran Coupe were great. But my favorite BMW and possibly my favorite car (excluding my current AMG GT) was my 535xiT. As an all around car it was unbeatable.
I got rid of the i8 two weeks ago and now have the AMG GT as well as my daily beater, the M4. I don't miss the i8 in the least. I am especially relieved of not having to become a human accordion to get in and out. WTF was that all about, BMW?
