6 series for old guys with too much central dense obesity for a 3, but don’t want to look like a Hertz President Club upgrade in a 5 from the airport or a burgermeister meisterburger in a 7.
7 series minus a 1 series = 6 series 4+2=6 5+1=6 3*2=6 All roads lead to Six sharks

I’ve actually owned 5’s since the mid 90’s up until 2013. In 2007 I got a e46 325xi and then in 2015 into a f30 328i and ditched that pinky/feather steering into my current e90. I could maybe see myself in a f10 with a stick down the road as a 2nd BMW but the 5’s have grown bigger than the e38’s!

You get a 5 series if:
- you have chronic back issues - a BMI over 30 - old af lol but seriously if i was looking for something like that i'd just get a tesla. You aren't buying this type of car for anything remotely sporty or for 'feedback'. I'd set the autopilot and take a nap

Dare I say the e60 generation was BMW's worst car in design and reliability. I think the e39 5er and e38 7er was BMW's high water mark for design and execution.
The e60 was pretty bad for BMW. Even the F10's kind of suffered too. I think it took BMW to produce the G20 - to get their mojo back. I have owned two e39's... a 535i v8(euro) automatic and currently an e39 540i 6speed manual. I love my e39's. A year and half ago I was invited to BMW's Driving Academy, outside of Munich. There I got to drive most everything BMW has and has produced(classic BMW's). I was blown away on how much I liked the G20 M550i Performance. It has a lot of BMW Performance parts installed from the factory. That Perf exhaust sounded just like my e82 135i's PE. Pure orgasm for one's ears. I was also blown away on BMW's semi autonomous driving aides. The new cars can pretty much drive, steer and brake themselves with very little input from the driver. IF I had the money I would own a M550i Performance. But my all time favorite car at the event was driving the M4 CS. But I think for an everyday, grown up car... the M550i would be my choice.
