Don't remember the model year, but a 2nd Gen Ford Taurus.
It had electrical issues, blown transmission, fuel system issues whenever I took it to the mountains, etc.

Hands down 2003 Range Rover which was nothing but problems from the day I brought it home with 7 miles on it. It was so bad that it was comical.
In addition to all its other problems, at 7500mi, if you accelerated in the rain, you got a lap full of water. If you stopped, it would wash down the inside of the windshield. The rain washing the inside of the windshield caused a short that would make the directional signals tick like they were on (They weren’t on). To make the constant ticking stop you had to turn on the headlights That car was so stupid if somebody gave me a Range Rover I’d sell it and buy anything else.

1992 535i. Had it for 7 years (1999-2006) but issues after issues year after year. Got hit and was declared a total loss and replaced it with a 92 525i/5.

2010 Lincoln LS. Water would drop through the sunroof when it rained (fixed four times). Window actuators were constantly shot. Spark plugs were replaced 3 times one year. Not the 5 series competitor they claimed it to be..... Obviously

I win the crown "worst of the worse"
Saturn SL1 My first highway drive the car overheated and I thought it was going to burn down so had to do continuous stops until I got home and took it to the dealer to fix ... did 100 miles in like three hours... ended up selling it in 6 weeks : |

2003 Land Rover Discovery
bought it new because the wife (now ex-wife) wanted it. went to pick it up at the dealer, get in, turn the key.... dead. nothing. won't turnover.
it took them 48 hours to finally get it running. they said "something must have gotten wet and caused an electrical short" when they were prepping it for delivery. it was all downhill from there. I sold it with about 11k miles when it already needed new tires and front and rear brake pads. almost as happy to be rid of that POS as I am happy of being rid of the ex-wife. |

My dad bought a 2004 Cadillac deville and owned it for a little under 4 years. In those 4 years the engine was rebuilt 3 times and the transmission was rebuilt 4 times. When he sold it both the engine and transmission were on their way out again.
After he sold it, his sales rep told him they were having these problems with all the deville's and there was nothing they could do to fix the problem. He hasn't bought an American car since and only buys Japanese and German cars now. Last edited by vandridine; 03-11-2019 at 06:58 PM.. |

1987 Jeep Cherokee. ignoring the fact that I only paid $275 for it.... First year of the 4.0 engine, with the crummy Renix fuel injection, and Peugot transmission. I had to carry a spare crank sensor with me, since they went out so frequently, and I blew up 3 transmissions in a year....
Aside from how horrible it was, it was a blast, I sawzalled the fenders to fit 35" tires with a 2" lift, modified the front door hinges to make them removable, and had a great time with it offroad while it was running. |

"78 "Silver Anniversary" Corvette. Bought brand new, terrible chevy service, firewall would get like a 120 degrees, bad catalysts, dealer could not balance tires. I let them tow it away and keep it.

1987 Sterling 825sl. Instrument cluster would shut down for a second or two then come back to life. Rocker panels behind front wheel well rusting after 18months, steering wheel would find itself off center by 15-30 degrees after a few months after being realigned again. Had car for 2 years - had a real nice interior and a good Honda sourced V6, but, yikes, the electronics and interior/exterior hardware were a mess.

Hands down the worst vehicle I've ever owned is my 135i. The shit that's gone wrong on this car, the amount it has cost me to fix, and it's depreciation since I bought the car makes a E60 M5 look cheap. Coincidentally, this is also the best vehicle I've ever owned...
The second best car I've ever owned was a 1992 Subaru Legacy RS turbo which had been built by a member of the Australian Subaru Rally team and was correctly licensed and compliance in Australia as a RS Turbo, but (curiously) had engine and VIN numbers which according to Subaru's numbering was all for a 2.2 liter naturally aspirated base model.. And the second worst car I ever owned was a 2006 Subaru Liberty RS turbo, which was nothing like my first one. The turbo lag and overall lack of handling, comfort or performance by modern standards was simply stunning. |

F30 328i (I believe 2013). The only good thing is the broad powerband of the 2L turbo.
Suspension is floaty and not exactly smooth either Steering tuning is way off Not that quiet on the highway I can name 10 other cars I'd rather drive and the 328i is a terrible car for the price. |

Ride quality isn't terrible in it but the build quality sucks, everytime I roll the windows down the door panel bulges lol. Steering wheel only comes out so far and I'm only 6 feet but I have a hard time reaching the steering wheel with my arms if I want enough room for my legs.. Not the worst car I've owned though, that goes to a 1990 Dodge Caravan (my first car and probably a joke from my parents..) |
