The new Chicken Pizziola is pretty good. My usual is a foot long turkey on italian herb/ cheese with cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, green peppers, olives, mayo, southwestern chipotle sauce and salt/pepper.

Subway SUCKS!!!! I went there for the first time in 20 years (after two bad experiences) about two weeks ago. Got a Steak and Cheese, frigging horrible!!!!! The chick nukes some metered out, pre packaged steak and cheese. It cost $5.60 (or so) bearly filled the bread and tasted terrible.

No wonder Jared lost weight, small portions and food so bad you don't want to finish it.

I wanted to cancel my order the moment I saw her reach for the tray with the meat and cheese...

D'angelos!!! FTW!

Subway is primarily a cold cuts sandwich shop. Who goes to a subway expecting their "steak and cheese" to be good? Thats just setting yourself up for failure.

Get a turkey and you'll be fine. They aren't gourmet, they are just plain coldcut sandwiches with some extra stuff to entice the kiddies.

For me, quiznos and subway are not in competition with each other. I either want a Subway sandwich, or I want a Quiznos sandwich. Both have things they do better than the other, I consider Quiznos' sauces to be to heavy and they typically put on too much of it. Since their bottles have 3 holes instead of 1, its a bit more difficult to get only a light amount of sauce.

I like both pretty equally. I've tried a Firehouse, it was alright but certainly not life changing like many poeple have mentioned here. It was just another sub, but with soggier bread. (wtf is up with that anyways? for a place that popular, why such soggy bread?)

My personal favorite chain of sandwich, though they aren't around alot in Texas, is Great Outdoors. #12 Outdoorsman is amazing. They have great tasting bread as well.

Jason's Deli is also amazing, but not really a sub sandwich place.
this guy knows his shit.

+100 on the soggy bread, wtf?

The commercial on TV that showed the Steak and Cheese got me, false advertising I say!!!!!

Even if I want a cold sandwich it will never be subway...

True ..It's hard to remember sometimes. Sorry ...

Yesterday I had the best Pastrami sandwich ever at the HAT restaurant at corner of Garfield and E. Valley Blvd. in Alhambra. The place looks like it has not been touched since the 50's. The meat on Pastrami dip sandwich is huge and out of this world. My first time there(...but hopefully not the last). Highly recommended to LA people.

Let me know when you are in LA area and I give you some more tips.

Thanks asshole! I'm now starving, and I'm eating as I type this.

There's a lot of places in every city that have great food, you just have to look.

I did not have breakfast yesterday and could not eat dinner after that lunch. Besides, I do this perhaps once every month or so. My regular diet is far from such lavish splurges.

In Canada, eating at Subway is really unpopular these days because just this year over 20 Canadians died after eating cold cut meats.

What's even scarier is that Maple Leaf foods sold their products under many different label names
Here's the insane list from just ONE RECALL from this company that sold their products to different companies!

It's the reason why my favourite meat to eat now is fish. Just plain old wild salmon or anything from the ocean in its natural form is fine with me.
