pfffffff, ok. We'll see what they call the "Great Satan crusaders" afterward. It's in their interest to have an enemy they can point their finger at and say... Don't hate us, hate them, they are the cause of all the worlds problems not us. Then you have a bunch of Koran thumping uneducated broke ass angry morons screaming death to America.

Libya supplies roughly 2% of the worlds supply. The vast majority of that 2% goes straight to europe. I am not saying that oil is the only reason they are playing this hippie liberator part, but can you honestly say it wasn't on the minds of the heads of states involved prior to attacking? Economics really makes you reconsider everyone's motives, doesn't it? |

Because there's less money. I may have limited liabilities by now but a couple percent income tax increase would be the equivalent of a new M3. So while my level of comfort might not go down with higher taxes, the things I could spend my money on would decrease: i.e. cars, vacations, homes, charities, investments, etc. And the government is so poorly run that any tax increase would not make the slightest difference in terms of economic improvement, a worsening yes.

I thought it was supposed to be just a No Fly Zone but it appears that coalition forces are destroying as much of Gaddafi's force as possible including tanks and several locations. According to Libyan sources there has been over 60 deaths because of these airstrikes and Russia and the Arab League have condemned these acts.
Again I can't stand Gaddafi but I can't stand America and Britain trying to be the world policemen. Whatever they say is right or wrong is what everyone else has to think and really its a load of BS. Why is there no action being taken in other countries where there are civil wars? Why take Gaddafi out now after 42 years of dictatorship? Serious questions to be answered. America, Britain (and others) need to be judged by the same standards. To me they are terrorists. They might appear to be civilised countries compared some fucked up places in the east but really they are just wolves in sheep clothing. If you stand against them they will get you one way or another, even if it means killing innocents (they will justify it).

Although I think the western worlds way of living is, for the most part, the best for its inhabitants.. I dont think its right for us to parade around the world forcing it upon people... and then slaughtering the opposition. That (When you think about it) is very "terrorist" like. Who are we to say whats right and whats wrong?? Mangggg, IDK. Whats the point of this conversation besides a waste of keystrokes... myself |
