If I can find things to shoot out here surrounded by miles of brown dirt, you should be able to find something of interest in Cyprus. I have a friend who lives near the coast in Massachusetts *and* he lives next to a lake and conservation land. And he complains about not having anything to shoot. Drives me nuts.

It was hard getting the focus right, but I think I did well. Two lenses and a mirror does not make an easy shot.

Now see, that's a cool picture. I think you should try cloning out the lights and the lighten the whole image a bit.

when I process, I tend to knock my exposures up about .5 ore more before exporting to JPG

then when it's exported to JPG it's usually where I want it.

Hope you don't mind me playing around with it, panicos, but here's my take. Looks like one of Ryan Bliss's Digital Blasphemy images.

It's a satellite dish on a rooftop, and I liked the colors and how the silhouette was in focus, not much to "get" really.

This is one I shot the next day, same location. Just for the forum since I know how much a crooked horizon makes you guys cringe...

hahaha thats exactly what i did, well trying to do.. i can't decide what the appropriate colors would be.. i'm kind of leaning to b&w but then it loses the "twilight" element..

It's a cool picture. Although now that the lights are gone, the horizon can be straightened, even if it really was tilted like that.

Do you live near that field? If so, try a shot a little later in the evening and point more towards the tree so you don't get the lights again. It'd be cool to see that field with the stars above it. Maybe on a night with a bright moon.

you are in my head.. the shot was taken a few minutes after the sun went doww so no stars around. it about 10 minutes from my house, i thought it would be good for my first star trail photo but i have to find the time.. the horizon is like this, i straightened it out now.. i will post the pic later, not finished
