for those of you making payments w/o a car, call bmw NA and let them know u want payments covered until you get the car. that is what they offered me. i declined though.

Mine is fixed and on he truck. Will be at the dealer tomorrow I pick up my car from the dealer on Thursday. 36 days from drop off in Munich to arriving at dealership.

You need to be nice but firm and contact the right people that can make it happen.
There was a list of BMW contact info published here several pages ago - page 23 - I'll say no more...

I just escalated through BMW NA.

It took a really long time for someone to get back to me, and honestly I'm not sure if I got moved up in the queue (order started as a week 16 build in Mar), or if this person is just able to track it for me.

Edit: I thought the comment above about the 80% bad parts thing was just someone trolling us

Just clarifying, you did ED and dropped off your car at Munich airport July 5th? And your car had its diff replaced and is now on a truck and will be at your dealer tomorrow?

Well I am finally on the road ...



Unfortunately my dealer stated that BMW still does not yet have a fix for the 2016 M4's. (as of last week Friday). I have a colleague who purchased his M4 from my dealer and his car is still standing on the lot ...

I hope for all of you perspective M4 owners that he is misinformed.

Yes - that was correct when I got on a plane this morning but apparently someone's wires got crossed and there was another day's work on the bumper repairs from ED so now it is supposed to be released tomorrow and at the dealer Friday - but the diff has been replaced.

Thank you followed page 23 and I got a call and parts have been order , and I should have my car by next week and they are offering to pay a lease payment.

Thanks for the info. Which port is your car's VPC?

I ask because I did ED and dropped off at the Munich airport June, 7th!! A full month after you...

My car is at the New Jersey VPC. I'm told the diff is there but some bolts, etc... are still being brought in before they do the swap.

No set date for delivery yet as it's not on a truck.

It's a real bummer because I'm a track instructor here and my best friend (who I see once a year) is flying in Saturday specifically so we can go to a track day Monday. I don't think I have a prayer of getting the car in time.

Just follow the chain as per page 23 , they responded to the email within 15 mins of me sending it and they called me tonight to let me know the new rear diff is in Newark they are just waiting of these special bolts . She told me bolts should be here this week and that I should have the car next week .
