I dont recall it being hard at all to quit SiriusXM. Just called them up and quit. Now DirecTV, that shit was a nightmare. I really hate how these companies beg and beg you to stay. They keep offering up discounts, trying to guilt you into staying. it's the hard-sell all the way.

I've finally resorted to telling these folks that Im a NASA astronaut and I'm blasting off to the International Space Station next week. I'll be on a 5-year mission so clearly I dont need, nor can I use from space, my Comcast, Visa, DirecTV, gym membership, or whatever it is I'm trying to cancel. It actually works! if you can get the call center folks off their script they fold fast.

Okay, not to get into to much details, my wife does this thing all the time, so it`s not a big deal, but yesterday was kind of interesting because she hadn't experienced that before.
You know how cold it was yesterday, so she goes into the restaurant with this person and people started coming up to her asking if she was okay, meaning if she had a mental problem or was being kidnaped or
So she goes to them, why are you asking me? I look fine don`t I? Why don`t you ask him? Does he look okay to you? So after that she goes into a clothing store and the manager would not let the person in. My wife says, look it`s freezing outside he needs this and that, etc, just let him warm a bit and we`ll get what we need and then we`ll be on our way. So he let him in while they did their shopping. Usually she wouldn`t say anything to anyone and just do her thing and be on her way, but this time she actually said something back to make people realize that we are not always the victim.

My car is so freakin dirty from the snow and salt last week, it's embarrassing.

There are no hand car washes near work, so I can only go on the weekends. I need to get there when they first open otherwise the line is ridiculous. The weather last weekend was not car wash weather. We had a few warm days this week and although not ideal and I only did when necessary, I used to be able to go to the automatic car wash when I was on my 20" square winter wheels *gasp* I can't do that anymore because the new set is 21" and I'm afraid the track will damage the wheels. I hate having a dirty ride.

I actually feel bad for him because he reminds me so much of my good friend. But the other part of me really just wants to see how elaborate the excuses for his behavior can become. The whole "My momma raised me to respect women" excuse is I think my favorite. Like respecting women and having a romantic relationship are somehow mutually exclusive.

My 2,5 yo phone had begun to drop power more rapidly, thats not unusual after several charging times, had bought it for 640,- Euros grand.
Had sent it to the mfr acceditated repair shop and there they stated that a repair would be beyond economical efforts. So they offer me a refurbished one for 320,- Euros or labor costs and return of my old unit for 55,- Euros. Id chosen the refurbished one and expected to get also my former phone back, were willing to pay the labor and additional shipping fees on top.
Today the customer support wrote me that they are very sorry but I never would get my former unit back, at the moment of decision for the exchange I had lost my right to my property and thats the normal procedure at every exchange.
Meanwhile I had read all availabe terms and conditions and all relevant warranty notes plus they hadnt told me this consequence before.
I confess that I am actually really onto the fence and consider some legal counseling.

My car is disgusting, I've never had a car this dirty. Two weeks since the salt/snow and it's kinda liberating having a disgusting car. Can't wait to get it properly detailed+ceramic'd after a few weeks though!

I don't feel bad for him because some guys never learn. There's obviously nothing wrong with respecting women, but that shouldn't come at the expense of yourself...

I'm sure he'll eventually find someone who will wear the pants in their relationship and not make a deal out of it and he'll be miserable forever and it'll be all ok.
