If that will really be the case, I hope the dealer doesn't have a Supra in the showroom at the same time.

60k gets you into some seriously compelling and better options.

Chances are, if the markups on the manual GR Corolla is going to be high, a manual Supra will be just as bad

The automatic one though...

There is one Facebook group for the new BRZ/GR86 where a guy is BRAGGING about paying a $10k markup over MSRP. Why would you brag about being taken to the cleaners?

"I have the money and I wanted it now."

That was literally his response when all of us started telling him he is a dunce.

That's why there's an incentive for dealers to mark up. There's always a few morons that will overspend.

Personally I would never pay a cent over MSRP.

Well it's the pinstripes and I already have several cars.

This Type-R looks to be a great all-rounder car.

But if I was to only have one car or replace only one car. I'd take this over a Golf R and the Corolla GR, easily.

the fact that serial plate has 5 digits tells me all i need to know. anything with more than 10,000 units isn't limited.

definitely does give off mini hellcat vibes from the front. overall good design though. the white in the promo didn't really show how wide those fenders are.

with some wheels and drop its gonna look really good.

I really like the wide stance. I'm kind of surprised how much the fenders are flared out as these cars are going to have presence in person. Also props to Honda for actually making new rear door skins just for this car that flow with the fender bulge. BMW could maybe take note here.
