Before you "cool story bro" me. Is anyone else pissed off by this. Isn't it cool car etiquette to at least smile and say thanks. I am driving a bmw, wearing a tie, I'm obviously not trying to rob her or anything. Just annoyed.
1. Maybe she had a bad day at work
2. Maybe there was a death in the family
3. Maybe she just got in a fight with her signifigant other
4. Maybe she crashed her own car recently
5. Maybe she just got bad news from her doctor

The list goes on and on. Did you ever stop to think that she may have some serious $h!+ on her mind and wasn't in the mood to be friendly? This reminds me of the Jeep forums I used to frequent when I had one, and how people would bawl and whine about how other Jeeps wouldn't wave at them. Get over it and realize not everything in the world is about you.

This.

GT-R gets too much attention so I'm sure they are tired of people snapping pics of their cars, asking questions, etc.

lol lot of wasted emotion on someone you don't even know.

if they respond, cool. I wouldn't expect it though. I almost always give modded bmws a thumbs up. some respond, some dont. Doesn't bother me either way. Certainly not to where I make a thread about it.

Funny thing is, I was annoyed for about 2 seconds, but let it go. Who knows what was going on with her. I just wanted to see what other people thought about the situation. Thanks for judging me an asshole however. The internet is great. If people didn't post stuff like this, what would we talk about? E90 platform hasn't changed in a while.

Why are you trying to rob that poor middle aged woman in a GTR??

Seriously though, i don't understand her behavior. Cause you know what they say; douchebags don't drive BMWs or wear ties.

Ok now, seriously. Imagine you are minding your own business and a gang of BMWs surround your car and one of them gives you the "roll down your window" motion. You don't know what that means because you don't have a crank on your door panel and give the BMW the "i don't know WTF you're talking about" motion. Then all of a sudden they are slowing you down to make you stop on the highway......

For real now. I saw my father one time in traffic and honked at him, waived at him, did all i could to get his attention. I saw him later and he told me that he ignores all people because you never know what kind of whacko is out there on the road with you. His example was similar to yours where as he said what if someone compliments my car and i don't act genuine enough when receiving his compliment and he gets pissed off? I thought HE was the whacko, but as it turns out there are some messed up people we share the road with. I'm content to keep to myself while on the road now.

I saw a middle aged chick driving a GTR the other day and yesterday I saw another middle aged chick driving a C63 Black Series (absolutely amazing car). I think their husband's like cars and they bought them these cars giving them some sales points, but in the end the men bought the cars for themselves and their wives are stuck with them.

Anyway, I was driving my GT-R in my 50-year-old-lady costume, and this bozo wearing a tie, driving some plebeian BMW 3-series was either hitting on me or trying to sell me a reverse mortgage. This happens at least twice a week, it's absurd!

Ok here are my real thoughts -

If the car isn't hers then her husband or boyfriend is a moron for letting her drive that car, unless as previously mentioned he has awarded her this opportunity posthumously.

If the car is hers, her choice, and she knows what it is and doesn't GAF who wants to tell her it's a nice car ... Well, then, rock on lady!

LOL, I plan on getting a Porsche 911 Carrera S for me and my wife's 10 year Anni. Her dream car is a Bug, but I'll tell her how this design was derived from a Bug once upon a time.

It's typed correctly, I get my compliments on parking lots, not while I'm on the road.

I wouldn't of even looked at a woman in a Nissan.

However, I saw a late 20's female driving a 6 speed 2009-2012 Gallardo leaving Bar Harbor today.

I have more respect for a female driving a true exotic 6 speed manual sports car than some automatic Nissan. That's just me though.

I was in my X5 but none the less I gave her the thumbs up. She smiled and kept on driving. She was with her 20 something boyfriend.

But she could have looked down and avoided me. Some folks are just friendly while others are not. Thats reality.

I highly doubt that.

Now a modified Aventador or modified Koenigsegg, yes.

Sometimes people are just pussy and think you are going to yell at them for some thing that they will make up in their head like... they cut you off on accident (which they didnt but they will create a random ass memory) and are afraid that you will start yelling at them so they just ignore and keep windows closed.

Put yourself in her shoes and imagine the same thing happening, you're driving around then someone is signaling you to open your window. I know I would feel wtf? but I'd yell back lol

Anyways yeah I would be annoyed too hence why I dont try to catch people's attention except give them a thumbs up.
