I passed by this accident scene a couple of weeks ago. I hope whoever was in that vehicle 1) survived, and 2) isn't permanently disabled.
It takes an incredible amount of force to wrap that roof panel around that rock like that. I'm not sure how effective any airbags would be either.
This scene was at the end of an approximately 3 1/4 km long straight stretch on a divided highway heading out of the city. The outbound lanes are separated from the inbound lanes by geography so people like to "test" their vehicles top speed on this relatively secluded section of highway.
This driver failed the test.

The Bordeaux-built five-masted barque France is claimed to be the largest sailing vessel ever built. It was of all-steel construction, including not only the hull but also the masts. It served from 1911 to 1922, when it ran aground in the South Pacific and was abandoned.
