The team describes the AMR25 as an "evolution", but the new car features significant aerodynamic changes, including new front and rear wings, reprofiled sidepods with deeper undercuts, and a revised floor.

Supposed to be much easier to drive.

Looking forward to seeing what Newey can do with new 2026 regulations. Active front and rear aero has Newey written all over it.

Newey, partnership with Honda, brand new factory, brand new windtunnel, sponsorship with unlimited funding...
You can like or dislike Stroll SR for lots of reasons, but he gets things done!
He realized a brand new windtunnel in a few years whereas RB has been dawdling along with local governments to get approval etc for an eternety now.

The only thing AMR is missing is a decent drivers lineup. ALO is great, but I think in reality too old to beat guys like Max, Lando and Charles.
And with not changing the lineup or having a 2nd junior team, they also don't get to discover fresh young talent.

I don't rule out Max going to AMR.
Maybe not in 2026, but if the car s#cks in 2026 and AMR has a decent car, maybe in 2027 or 2028

Finally finished the netflix Senna series. I was young at the time he was alive, only really knew of F1 on the periphery, occasionally hearing names but never really watching. Great series, curious to know how much liberty they took with the story vs truth.

I haven't watched it yet. Normally I'm not really big on documentaries around sports as they usually dramatize a lot (drive to survive etc).
And I don't know if I want such a documentary cloud my own memories and opitions from those days. I watched F1 very closely in the mid to late 80's and whole of the 90's. For as much as that was possible of course, we were all dependant on what we were told on tv of course.
But for sure Senna was my favorite, it was the reason I watched F1.
He was not only the best driver (imho) but also the ambassador for the drivers and the sport. There was no one that didn't respect him. Of course respect for F1 drivers was much bigger in those days in general. It was way more a playboy world.
Too bad that he died in early '94. There were already little signs in clashes between Senna and Schumacher, the new kid on the block
The big battles and drama's between Schumacher and Hill should've been between Schumacher and Senna. That would've been awesome and ferocious.

Apart from the driver being key, I think a big shout out also goes to the team staff from behind the scenes who are on the journey with Max

The "fastest" ranking of these cars is 100% dependent upon the drivers behind the wheel. To try to put them in some sort of order independent of drivers is what's delusional. In basic categories, like fastest, middle of the pack, and slowest, is reasonable, but this notion that we can rank the top 4-5 teams in exact order is absolute madness.
