I got ticketed once for passing someone in the Sumner Tunnel under Boston Harbor. Early on a Saturday morning going to a job site. That tunnel has two lanes for traffic, but there was a ridiculous rule that you had to stay in your lane once you were in the tunnel. I came up behind someone crawling along well below the speed limit and there were no other cars in sight, so I changed lanes and went by the slowpoke. There was a small booth in that tunnel and a cop just happened to be manning it that morning. He called ahead and a cop in a car outside the tunnel pulled me over and gave me a ticket for a lane violation. I swear it was all a setup to generate tickets.

The slowpoke was probably a cop too.

This is what I'm saying. That car was moving so slow that it was obvious the driver was pushing me to pass.

We saw The Poseidon Adventure at a drive-in in North Conway, NH way back when. My Dad had a pickup truck and pulled into the space backwards so we could sit in chairs in the truck bed.

Good movie, starring Gene Hackman. One of the movies I saw at the drive-in was The Godfather; second time seeing it. First time was at a theater.

I saw that movie at a drive in, too! Some others I remember from those days include Fist Full of Dollars, Live and Let Die, and Herbie The Lovebug.

I remember. I took typing, not to learn how to type, but because there was a girl I liked and she said she was taking it.

It's a skill that most boys didn't have back in my school days. It really helped me when computers became popular.

Coincidentally, I was just looking at my junior high school yearbook. Here is a photo of our typing class in 1962. I suppose this makes me old.

I did that, too. We dated for a while, but it didn’t work out. She was a nice
gal, but a little too religious for me. We both soon found someone else.

And that reminds me of something. Wasn’t it possible to defeat the carriage
release so the carriage would fly off for the next user?
