I've banned reading books in the car because of motion sickness, the little devil smuggled in a tablet. She had to clean it up.

My just 2yr old niece has picked up the neat skill of noise distraction. After riding in the car with my family (a challenge in itself) I crash down on the coach to recharge - my niece goes to her toy basket, picks up sequentially, every noise-making toy she has -clacker thingy, drum, shaker, symbol etc.- and makes the noise right next to my ear, puts it down, and gets the next implement. I grab her shirt when I realise what she is doing.. I now know where my intolerance of noise comes from |

When you buy lunch and 12 coworkers have to come over asking whatcha get, whatcha get, whatcha get, whatcha get. Can I see, can I see, can I see.

When a couple of your so-called friends (and now ex-roommates) decide to spend their free time talking about you behind your back and making up lies about what they're doing, so that they don't have to invite you. Seriously. At least have the balls to say what you're saying to my face. And lying about what you're going to do so that you don't have to invite me? That is one of the pettiest things I have ever heard, especially coming from two people who I considered friends. There's a lot of things I could say and "talk shit" about the both of them for, but I'd rather just burn that bridge and move on. I guess it's just a good thing that I have mutual friends who told me about everything. There's a reason nobody else wants to move in after I moved out. #RantOver

No bacon in the sammich. If I did have bacon, I could then understand why productivity would have to come to a complete halt. But this was a plain ole steak sammich. Nothing to see

Next time, burn some popcorn. The whole office LOVES that! Then they will at least stop asking to see what you got for lunch...

So, my work uses ADP to log our hours at work. Days where I work 10 hours, I will input 10 hours. It gets approved by my boss on Mondays. Well, he always changes it to 8 hours...., where is the logic behind that? Do they not care if I am here late? Do they care if I'm here at all? I might as well work 3 hours and just log 8 every day.

Sounds like they're skirting overtime rules.

Well...are you an exempt employee?
If not, then they could be skirting around overtime anyways, even though you are salary. Its Wisconsin, but probably similar if you look for your state: http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/er/labor_st..._13109_p.htm#3 Is Basically - if not exempt employee, then overtime must be paid for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week. This defines exempt vs non-exempt. http://www.flsa.com/coverage.html Something you may want to consider.... |
