Just picked up my 25 X1 M35i in individual Technoviolet and shadowline yesterday. I still need to polish it up better, and it's getting some PPF up front ASAP. But I'm pretty happy with it, despite my sketchy photography skills.

How did you get that color? I don't see that as an option on the Individual Color chart for the X1.

Should be there. BMW is advertising this colour on the X1 M35i a lot now.

Then why does it show the iX1? We certainly don't have that model here.

I'm just trying to understand why there are two different BMW Individual Sites. One, specifically for the U.S. and then one that has NA models sprinkled in with other non-NA models.

The 2 Series (G42 and G87) do not get individual colors unless they are on the standard configurator.

didnt know that - it does seem to be somewhat consistent with that other site though for the one M2 Coupé they do show... based on the stylized writing and the references to colour and favour I am inclined to think that probably isn't meant for US even if it says US...

but they do have the 4 door 2 series, BMWUSA site excludes

The Mexico plant the G87 is produced at only gets a limited selection of "Individual" paints, and I think the first time this plant is able to offer it as well. I imagine in the future they'll be expanding the capability of the plant if demand is strong enough. Right now they're basically collecting orders of the 4 Individual colors offered and then painting them in batches to maximize the use of paint and productivity. I'm still deciding if my next car will be a G87 and if I'll spend the extra cash to get one of the Individual colors.

Individual colours are great fun however you need to know you’ll be keeping it long term as the resale value of such coloured cars is at best no more than a standard colour on the used market or in some cases less. It’s a residual value nightmare!
