Luminox 3202...... I got spoiled on Tritium in the Army. The 3200 series are stainless with sapphire crystals.
My wife wears a 7204 which is the same watch in 3/4 size with a blue dial. |

I've just got an Invicta 9937 right now that I wear pretty much daily (it's a Submariner homage)
Someday when I can justify the expense I'll have an Omega Speedmaster as well. |

I'm in the market for a watch or two and you guys seem to know your stuff. I'm looking to spend no more than $300 per watch. I want one with a metal band and on with a leather band. I like watches with large cases but not huge. Any suggestions?
Also, is this a legit website? Seems like a decent deal if it's real and the site is legit. http://www.worldofwatches.com/detail...iance_id=87482 EDIT: Found the same watch on Amazon for $75. Is Invicta a decent brand? How's the quality on these watches? http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-0428-V...4653848&sr=8-1 Last edited by silvergray545; 05-05-2011 at 11:52 PM.. |

my dad just picked up a daytona... the exact one i've been drooling over forever and flaunts it in my face every chance he gets - including sending pic messages of it to me daily. fml
tag carrera is still going strong, though

Here's the link to the other Invicta. Like I said, for $60, I don't really care what happens to it. Plus being a student, I'm on a budget. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER What do you think about Bulova? Are those decent watches? |

I dont know much about Bulova.. I think an aunt or uncle bought me one a while back... I loved the face but hated the band (Genuine leather w/ alligator imprinted on it).. I think I still have it.. Do you want it? |

Do you have a pic of the band? I was also thinking about changing the leather band out for a metal one. Idk if I like the white stitching that comes on it. Change it or keep it? |

That's just BS. Invicta has never tried to pass their watches off as Rolexes. They are a legitimate company that sells affordable, well made watches.

I just ordered that Invicta. Is it possible to swap the leather band for a metal one? And do I have to by the metal band directly from Invicta for it to fit?

That band is a little too much for me. Thanks though.
I'll post some pics when I get my Invicta in. In the mean time, I'll be looking for a watch WITH a metal band. Maybe something a little bit nicer too. |

Analog watches are almost always advertised in the ten past ten position. Timex uses 10:09:36 exclusively. Adjusting your photos for parallax, I'm guessing both those watches, despite not being Timex are set to 10:09:36 which has become somewhat of an advertising standard. That said, the invicta sub definitely pays homage to rolex's design. The other invicta you posted looks nothing like that bvlgari, except for the color scheme. The hands, markers, bezel, crown, band, date function, etc. are all different. |

Thanks. Was a bit difficult to find the alaska project (since I bought it in 2010, and it was released in 2008 I believe), but it was the one I wanted and I had to have the white face. The original one is always a classic though.
