It's tragic. Mentally, he's in a spin (helical path spiraling). Red Bull should increase therapy time for him to spend on spin recovery training.

As soon as I saw the Russell - Verstappen encounter in the closing stages of Q3, the notion "grid penalty" crossed my mind. Russell was required to take evasive action. The Red Bull team should have kept Verstappen posted on Russell's high speed approach.

If race stewards look into this, depending on the circumstances, Verstappen could get a grid penalty.

For example:
