Perhaps Porsche has gone from the Cayenne through the Cayman to the C'mon.

Silver 3 "Fake" ///M Series
The other day my son and I were driving down a three lane road in the F80, we came to an intersection and stopped and all of a sudden "E", my ten year old son said: "Hey Dad, that guy in an ///M is looking over at us and taking a picture of our car with his phone". I looked over and the driver quickly turned away. The ///M Badge was placed in the lower portion, aft side of the front quarter panel, below the turn signal. I asked "E" what kind of ///M car he thought that was, and he replied "A fake ///M Dad, a fake ///M......." Well done son, well done and remember do not ever be that guy, " I won't Dad".

When I got to the office this morning, I had the privilege of parking next to a very rare S600 AMG. The guy was really proud of it too. He had an AMG license plate frame, AMG stickers on the windscreen and several windows...

He was talking about the car he saw, not the picture that I posted.

I think that must have only been for a year or two...I had a 15 or 16 435i M Sport loaner a few months back and it didn't have those badges.

Don't quite understand all the rage here. I see many here where I live, on a daily basis (will post pictures later today).
My own opinion is that if I'm privileged enough to drive an M, I enjoy it without caring too much about M wannabes. This possessive mentality is to me a little pointless. What does it achieve? In fact be happy people are so ready to slap on the M badge, it really reflects the prestige the emblem carries. |
