They did a great job with the new 7 Series interior. The exterior will take some getting used to.

Can you please clarify what the "New instrument panel for all models" specifically refers to for the G42? Is this just a cosmetic enhancement retaining the current iDrive7 from model year 22, or is it the upgrade to iDrive8?

It's a combination of philosophical choice and a preference for cloth interiors. There is a starting trend towards premium, sustainable, non-animal based interiors and I was wondering if the G87 might apply what we see in the likes of Tesla and Porsche in some models. I'd pay a premium for the option personally.

BMW does have a new sustainable synthetic leather replacement "sensafin" debuting on the x7 lci and new 7 (allegedly as good or better than the vernasca it will replace). Eventually should find it's way down the chain but doubtful to the m2 in the near future.

Hi Folks! I’m looking to order a X5, my local dealer who’ve I’ve order from in the past just told me to wait on a 2023 model year allocation because he’s expecting an announcement on the X5 LCI for the 2023 model year. He mentioned the 2022 model year production ends in July, and mentioned that the next run would include iDrive8, front / rear design tweaks etc. This forum says the LCI isn’t planned until next year. Curious if anyone has any more insider info?

I can attest dealerships are plenty wrong.

Question is, will the LCI be labeled a '24?

The Cashmere upholstery offered in 7/i7 is part of an option pack that costs over €28,000. I don't see this filtering down to the M2 or anything else.

If the LCI starts at april 2023 for the X5, when are you typically able to order it at the dealer? How many months before production starts are you able to order a new car ?

In case of the X5 is it realistic that you will be able to order in (the end of) 22 ?

Production start is April on the G05 LCI it is highly likely that ordering will be available a month or two before

I know that your only reporting, but with BMW NA portfolio sales of 60% X vehicles, maybe production shifts to South Africa for the ex NA market to make room for 4 series and 5 series production in Spartanburg to hedge against the threat EU tariffs? If so, the ED program would be history.

Has it been confirmed that M3 will also have the CSL badge? This source implies as much. Maybe they'll retain the back seats as it wouldn't make sense to have M4 AND M3 with rear seat deletes

Any word on G87 M2 CS or CSL variants and if they'll be offered in manual?
