Very cool! I think I recognize where you guys watched from, I wasn't too far away. People couldn't get enough of the i8 it seemed too lol It was fun for sure. The "whistle" was definitely a different sound from the roars and screams I'm used to at these types of events |

You're right, everyone loved the i8 I had followed somewhat of the series, but I definitely will after going; especially is Scott Speed gets a full time contract. Already can't wait for '16! |

Long Beach folks: This event is FREE
"Admission to the Long Beach ePrix is completely FREE! No ticket is required" https://www.eticketing.co.uk/fiaform...s/default.aspx There will be a change to the usual Formula E event format for round six of the series – the Long Beach ePrix on April 4. Due to the layout of the track and the location of the paddock, there will be three 25-minute non-qualifying practice sessions instead of the usual two. Benoit Dupont, Sporting Manager at Formula E, said: “In Long Beach we are using part of the IndyCar circuit along Shoreline Drive and a similar style pitlane with the garages in a remote paddock. To maximise charging time and allow teams more time to manage the cars in between sessions we altered the timetable to include three shorter sessions.” Long Beach, USA Round 6 - 04/04/2015 Practice 1 - 08:15-08:40 Practice 2 - 09:25-09:50 Practice 3 - 10:35-11:00 Qualifying - 12:00-12:55 Race - 16:00 Gil de Ferran, Formula E Driver Ambassador: Long Beach is an iconic track. It is the most famous street circuit in North America and is a little bit of a tradition in American motorsport. It says a lot for Formula E that it is racing at such a venue. The track layout Formula E will use is more similar to the old layout than the current IndyCar version. It’s obviously a little bit shorter, but the southern end of the track is the same as it’s always been and it’s a very interesting part of the circuit with the famous hairpin leading into the straight. There’s a lot of time to be gained or lost at that end of the track – and I speak from personal experience! "Also the two right handers at the north end of the track, especially the one at the end of the straight (turn 5), will provide great passing opportunities. The whole layout looks very ‘racy’. With the exception of one corner in the southern end, Long Beach is super wide, which is why traditionally you have such good racing there, because people can get side-by-side. "It’s going to be interesting to see from a strategic perspective where the drivers are going to make the use of the boost to overtake each other. If you make it on one straight you can be attacked back on the next straight, so that’s going to be fascinating. |

Love free events!
Sat over at Turn 1/2 and saw the start and Scott Speed's crash. The turn two made me felt like Montral's Wall of Champions. I'd say its alright success given the grand stands were about 80% full at along Shoreline Blvd. What were they thinking originally when they about to charge 80-90 bucks for admission?

Whoops!!
Di Grassi excluded from DHL Berlin ePrix BERLIN| 23 MAY 15 Race winner Lucas di Grassi has been excluded from the DHL Berlin ePrix after his Audi Sport ABT car was found to have been running with a modified front wing. The race-winning car failed post-race scrutineering where it was discovered that the front wing fairings had been modified to include internal metal reinforcing rods. In addition the stewards found that six of the eight holes in the front wing had been sealed. The remaining two holes were found to have had helicoil inserts and chamfers made and that the front flap and gurney LH 220 has a filler layer added and chamfer made. The team argued that these changes were made as a result of repairs and that they offered no competitive advantage, however, they were deemed to be in breach of Article 3.1 of 2014/2015 FIA Formula E Technical Regulations and the exclusion was made. Audi Sport ABT has decided not to appeal the decision. The decision means that Jerome D’Ambrosio is now the winner of the race and Nelson Piquet Jr is now in the lead of the championship, 10 points ahead of di Grassi. |

now, on to Russia
Moscow June 6 2015. Great day for racing but we should always recognize it as the day Allied forces landed in Normandy for D-Day. |
