Nationals big bats all contributed in all playoff games. This is a good sign. Harper, Murphy, Werth, Rendon Zimmerman all came through. Now Turner is also getting his hits after going 0-4 in game 1. When Turner gets on base, good things happen for the Nats.

Tough one for me to take. Nats had the matchup they wanted in Werth Harper and Murphy all batting in the 9th. Just didn't get it done. It's a game of inches, and Murph was a few inches too low on his swing.
Hats off to the Dodgers. I'm rooting for my hometown (state) Indians for the rest of this post season

Still cannot believe the Mariners didn't RUN with the AL West.
If it's Indians - Cubs everyone will be rooting for the Cubs. Think about this, the Titanic wasn't even built yet when the Cubs last won the WS. |

Well, another typical outcome for the Nats - good luck the rest of the way to the Dodgers!
It was still a fun year for the Nats overall.

My Nats come up short again. This one stings. But not actually more than the game against the Cards in 2012. Even still, sigh. Ah well, there's always next Spring!

The other spots....I've since retired. Btw- props to your Vikings. It's still early, but so far- they've definitely shown they are contenders this year

-Zimmerman getting old, numbers have been down year after year -Werth getting old, numbers are down, has he ever played to the $120m contract? -Rendon, Harper are entering their contract years soon -Ramos is a free agent now -Strasburg is an orchid, delicate and can only pitch in certain conditions -Gio is on the slide...we'll be lucky if he gets 15-wins next year -Espinosa...no need to say anything, you've seen it all, at least he plays good defense Our only upsides are: - locked Murphy and Scherzer in - Giolito looks promising and is likely the future - Turner has all the tools to be an all-star center fielder in 4 years - Roark is close to a 20 game winner

If you think about it, the entire 2012 to 2016 run, the backbone of the teams has mostly been farm system players: Harper, Rendon, Zimmerman, Zimmermann, Ramos, Strasburg, Espinosa, Detweiler, Storen, Stammen, Desmond, Clippard, Roark, Bernadina, Michael Taylor..

Apologies to the Indians. I thought the Blue Jays would steamroll them, but the Tribe pitchers shut down that powerhouse Toronto offense tonight. Once again, pitching prevails.
