Only place I saw anything was car and driver(I think) and it said 2 and 4 doors would tow 3500. But they probably mean the V6, so 4cyl probably around there.

Not going to buy a first year model but definitely getting a 2022. Nice to see competition in the Jeep Wrangler market space. Had a new Rubicon but it was such a complete FCA piece of shit it was sold after 9 months of ownership. Looks like Ford got this one right! Can't wait to see it in person.

MY 1999 F150 4x4 V6 5-speed manual with 210 HP/250lb-ft torque had a tow rating of 5,000 pounds. Two dirt bikes weigh what, 500 pounds total plus a 800 pound trailer. Any 100 HP car could tow that.

Edit: seems to be 3500 lbs

I was just thinking of being able to throw a bike or two in the back. If I have to get a trailer then yeah I am going to get a truck that will actually be able to tow something, so I'd get a real truck with a diesel or v8.
It's way harder to load a dirt bike into the back of a full-size 4x4 pickup truck than onto a motorcycle trailer.

I found the C&D articles I read earlier today:

"The Bronco Sport is rated to tow 2000 pounds with the 1.5-liter engine and 2200 pounds with the 2.0-liter engine."

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a3...pecs-revealed/

"Both the two- and four-door [Bronco] models are rated to tow 3500 pounds—same as the Wrangler."

I highly doubt you would ever be able to pick one up for $28k.........a well equipped Honda Pilot is close to $45k+.......

That new bronco is going to be $50k+

Guys...you don’t need a trailer for a single dirt bike. Even the 2-door has plenty of room behind the seats to put gear, fuel can(s), etc. Then just add one of these.

Back in the day when SUVs had real metal bumpers you could get clip-on wheel chocks to tote dirt bikes around. That's what we used. My bike spent many a mile hung off the back of my Uncle's '72 Suburban.

The point is the New Bronco should be able to handle a dirt bike trailer and 2 bikes easily.

Not to be a smart ass but some people don't know this. Tow rating has more to do with stopping than pulling. For example, you could easily tow a 5000 pound boat with a 3500 pound rating. But executing an emergency stop becomes a BIG uncontrollable problem.

Also want to point out that tow ratings are generally lower in the US than other countries for the same models. Happens all the time, no idea why. Maybe b/c American drivers generally suck?

Merican drivers do suck but it's probably an attorney fueled thing. That or US DOT.

Looks like the Sasquatch off road package demands an automatic transmission. :

I only see the Bronco Sport listed to build on Ford's website. What am I missing?

Thought this tent was a cool idea (not too expensive @ $379 either - I wonder what its quality is like)

It didn't say it is hard to load a dirt bike into a pickup bed. I said it is easier to load a dirt bike onto a motorcycle trailer, especially if you are loading the bike solo (that means it is harder to load a dirt bike into the bed of a pick up).

If the OP wants a New Bronco, but also wants to carry a dirt bike in it, the only viable option to haul a dirt bike with the New Bronco is with a motorcycle trailer, since no dirt bike will fit in the back of the New Bronco.

There is no need to argue this point.
