Umm, being single means you can do all that! Just cuz you're single doesn't mean you're not fucking and stuff!

To me, when you're seeing either 1 woman or multiple women, you're not really 'single' You're dating around. So yes, you're not in a relationship, but you're also not 'single' Make sense? All I meant was that being alone sucks; meaning no women in your life; be it a gf, a booty call, dating, or whatever. Any guy that says they want no women in their life at all...is either lying, in denial, or closet gay. Just saying..... I love women and can never go on without one (or more hehe ) in my life.

I think for most people single means you are not in a serious relationship. People can go on dates and/or screw around and still be considered single.

Breaking up is hard. Because you've invested so much in her that when you guys have broken up, it seems like the world just stops spinning. It's very difficult and no one likes to go through it. However, you MUST realize that there are a million other girls/things/etc. out there. That ONE girl ISN'T EVERYTHING!
The one thing you don't deserve is a stubborn gf (or ex-gf). I had an ex that was exactly like that. She NEVER admits when she's wrong. There's always an excuse but when YOU do the same thing she has a problem with it. I put up with it because I really cared about her. However, after her I vowed to never, ever go out with a stubborn girl again. I hate stupid and/or stubborn women. That kind of things would drive me insane!! In any relationship there's gotta be mutual respect, trust and understanding. If any of that is missing you're better off ending it early. The best way to get over someone is to move on to the next. haha You should surround yourself with friends and go do things you like to do. Volunteer your time if you're bored. Break-ups are never easy so getting over one is easier said than done but you have to try!! Last edited by BMW F22; 03-08-2011 at 11:35 PM.. |

Look, you guys are both young. You have plenty of time to find another gf. Plus, when you do find that one person, it will be better than your last. Just take it as it is and move forward. Surround yourself with good friends and company. Hey, when I was your age, I was hitting up the hostess and strip clubs daily! Good luck bro!

damn you guys are right about not taking her friends away. i feel so wrong now i think a big part of it is because i don't have any girls that are friends. all my friends are guy friends so she doesn't even have to deal with it. i mean, she lets me go to bars and clubs by myself with my buddies, but it's not the same way with her. I'm feeling fucking horrible inside

Ugh.... stop saying that YOU did something wrong. You also agreed with someone who said that she was covering for her parents not liking you. You see what you're doing there? You're blaming yourself and making it so that she's right. You're gonna go run to her any moment now, I'm predicting it. You will not be able to stay away from her. I agree that you telling her not to see her guy friends was not a good move. However.... -she mentioned "what if we break up" multiple times. that already tells me her head/heart is not in it. -she probably (in a way) made it so her family didn't attend your functions, because she was not that in to you and did not want to grow that family bond to someone who she would probably break up with anyway. I know you've been through school and have a good job and are a productive member of this society. However, you are still young and inexperienced, and your ex-gf much more so. Your views and opinions will change in these next few years. Give it time, and then you'll be able to see what this relationship was and whether it can be something again. But for now at least, let it go. |
