1997 318ti compact, loved it at the time and kept it almost 5 years while I changed my residence three times (different countries). Lots of nice memories and amazing journeys as well as horrifying ones that I barely survived with that car but at the end it convinced me to keep on buying BMWs, at least till 2011.

My first BMW (and first car): 1995 E36 325IS.
The car was passed on to me from my uncle - it was driven across the United States from FL to CA and then up to Canada. I bought it for cheap but spent a good deal upgrading it and modding it. It had raceland coils, M3 bumpers, HIDs, M3 wheels, Fog Light Deletes, black kidneys, rear tails. It handled fantastic, but it was old and dying. I couldn't afford to fix it and by the time I was in a better financial position, the car couldn't idle properly and was pretty intolerable to drive. Sold it, bought an Acura and drove it for a year, but missed the BMW game, and so I bought an E90 one week ago! So happy to be back in a BMW

The BMW 3/15 DA-2 featuring a jaw-dropping, heart-pounding naturally aspirated 747cc inline-four capable of at least 15 hp (but I suspect more, as bmw likes to be conservative with their performance numbers):
(Also, checkout those non-run-flats ... first of a new breed) * Note: This is before I had the interior trim wrapped in carbon fiber. |

My first BMW is the one I'm currently driving. This and the E60. Love it.

First BMW - 2013 BMW X1
After having mostly offroad vehicles, finally decided to stick to the paved road with a 2013 BMW X1 I got in January. After six months still love the way it just moves.

F30 - 328I
Had a variety of cars - Lexus, Acura, Jaguar, Mercedes, and most recently an Audi S4 - I finally purchased a 2013 328i for my daily commuter. Never thought I would say this but the turbo 4 in this car is amazingly fun to drive, and I am getting 28+ mpg while driving fairly hard.
Coming from the V8 in the S4, I do miss the rumble of the engine, but the performance in the 328i is not only on par but when the tuners come out with a decent chip (is there one out yet?) I can see this car being far superior performance wise - as much power and a lot less weight.... All fun and games until a bit of snow, which thankfully, here in Seattle is not a yearly event. |

335i MSport 2013. A replacement of precisely the same car. Both have the same irritating rattle or vibration at 2k rpm and unresolved by BMW. As the flagship 3 series, it shouldn't have this problem. So yes this is my first BMW and is most certainly my last.

I've had my first BMW for about a month now. I was in the market for a new car and really hadn't considered a BMW since they were all out of my price range even though I'd dreamed of owning one someday. I had always thought I'd get one eventually when I made more money. By chance, I found a CPO 2011 135i for less than the new car I was considering so I couldn't be happier.

Hey Everyone, new guy here. As recently as 2 weeks ago on a whim, I decided to stop by a local BMW dealership, and ended up driving off in an Alpine White 2008 E93 M3. I hadn't heard the advice that you shouldn't test drive the car unless you intended to make a purchase that day and alas, she did in fact come home with me. Very, very clean car. Love learning all the different aspects of the car and what it can do by reading the owner's manual cover to cover and checking forums like this one! I must admit though, this isn't my first BMW. When I was sixteen, I purchased a family owned '88 325 (no "I" or "e" designation), silver in color with black interior, the car being a few months older than even myself ('89 baby). She was a dream to drive at sixteen and cleaner than you could imagine. Wish I still had pictures (and the car!), but my previous computer with all the photos crashed and I was unable to recover any of them :/

Replaced it with a e39 M5, debating on trading for a slightly newer model M3 |
