It's a name I created way back in the 1990s when I first got onto the WWW and chatrooms and whatnot. I created it because it included the zip code in which I lived at the time -- useful for chat rooms -- and because I felt that people would relate better to a "normal" name, rather than a "handle," for addressing another person, but I also didn't want to use my given name or surname either.

Mine's from Calvin & Hobbes. I loved the books and people said I acted like Calvin. It was my name playing Unreal Tournament, Half Life, things like that - seemed to make extra sense for shooter games. Just kept with it once I started to sign up onto forums.

My license plate has been GOLFFRR since my first car 15+ years ago, I wanted golfcrt and a few others and couldn't get it bc it was taken. So I was able to get GOLFFRR. So I love to play golf and it was easy to remember so I made it my screen name everywhere

The original name derived from my Honda Fit days back in 2007 when the first Fit came to the states. I was part of the forum back then as 1LegitFit. It stuck and when I started driving a 325i, 1Legit325i, then a 540i, 1Legit540i, and the rest is history. 1L
