Frack mechanics....we don't have the proper receivers to run the Martz offense. I hate it because historically it has a tendency to get quarterbacks killed....even when it works.

I agree but Martz is obsessed with them. Lawrence Holmes just today reported that he is still working with Cutler and throwing mechanics as if Cutler ever has time to step into the pocket. I can see focusing on mechanics when you have a line that give you 3 seconds, receivers who don't bail on routes, and a QB who actually cares enough to set his feet and square his shoulders. Even if Cutler had all day I don't see him as a good Martz QB because he likes to see the fields and fling it

Not to mention we have two GREAT tight ends that get lost in the Martz offense....lets run some bootlegs and use some of those underneath routes for crying out loud...lets get a friggin' run game going...lets get the offensive line right...i could keep going but then I will get depressed...LOL

No I disagree...he isn't a dud...they just don't use the tight ends in the bears offense the last 3 years...not the way they should. I bet if Olsen was in the Colts or Packer offense he would be a stud.

Idk his effort is spotty at best, he can't block worth shit, and has average hands. He's a big slow wide receiver lining up as a TE really. I like Desmond Clark better as a receiver but he can't block either, and then Manemaliaroaudoasdfa or whoever is the opposite - can block but can't catch and is too slow. So the only chance they have of causing some uncertainty on the defense side is to put Olsen in for the most part he'll either miss his block, be covered, or drop a pass

The fact that they shopped him this off season and couldn't get a better offer than a 3rd round pick tells his story pretty well IMO
