Electric/Plug ins are the future, but i really liked the diesels for their torque and their engines. Unlike the plug ins they still use 3liter I6s which are much better than 2L 4cylinders. |

Was the 2019 540d ever listed on the website, or was it only the 2018? I do see that they put the 2019 model into the order guide, so they had planned to offer it at some point in fairly the recent past. Quote:

From the OP:
"2020 F95 X5 M" So it will come next year as a 2020 model. Quote:
"The next M5, X5M, and X6M will all get the same engine, S63B44T4. Note that the latest production iteration of this engine is T2. My best guess for the reasons for skipping T3 is that T3 did exist, but the engineers went further and made a still better version." It is worth reading the OP if you have any questions about future products. In fact it is generally a great idea to just quickly read the first post of a thread before replying with questions. Forum member yngulgyn has been sharing information with us for a few years now, and its generally been a very good predictor of what comes to pass. |

Wow its beginning to look like next years X3 and X4 will have LCI level changes. 10% power bump, new dash. Not sure buying one this year would be a good idea if one can avoid it.

BMW has ended diesel production for the US. it is indeed from the upcoming ban of all diesels in German cities and quite possibly all European cities moving forward.
There are about 50 2019 5 series diesels that are on the locater the last time I checked. So the 3 series, 5 series and X diesels all are shelved or production has ended. Clean diesel emits no carbon monoxide, but the particulate emissions are what has triggered their upcoming ban in German cities. Its sad because BMW would have had a niche market all to themselves here in the US.

Diesels in Europe are still a big thing. If they comply to the newest Euro 6d-TEMP emission levels. Which the BMW diesels, both I4 and I6 do. There might still be CBD environmental zones that requires electric or Hybrids though. I am waiting for a G01 30d, built in Spartanburg. And it's not the only one being built there.. :-) /n

Hi ynguldyn,
Do you have any information about the B48A20T1 in the Minis, particularly the F56 (it would be the JCW GP), is it with manual or automatic gearbox ? Thanks Best regards |

Thank you very much fot these fast answers ! So we can only hope 180 kW in the F56 JCW GP ?
Apart from that, do you confirm 290 kW for the B58B30O1 ? What about the torque ? 550 nm ? And last question please, the torque of the B48T1 ? 400 nm ? Thanks a lot ! Last edited by choupaps; 08-30-2018 at 03:42 PM.. Reason: Adding elements |
