Anyone else boycotting Citgo products?

I refuse to buy ANY Citgo products due to their ownership by the Venezuelan government. As you may or may not be aware, the President of Venezuelan Hugo Chavez is Communist dictator. HE HATES America and is not shy about his dislike. He recently had his bid to become "President for Life" narrowly defeated 51% to 49%. It would not be a surprise if he would again make an attempt to become "President for life". He has also made threats to cut of all Venezuelan Oil to the US as a means to hurt the US economy and raise oil prices. I am not a political expert, but I, also with many others, refuse to buy Citgo products. I have read that in light of the situation, many others are also boycotting Citgo products. In response, Citgo is contemplating a name change on their gasoline service stations. I won't tell anyone what products to buy. Just saying what I and others are doing and why.

He doesn't necessarily hate America - he has actually said he likes America. He does hate the current administration, however - and is not shy about saying that.

nah, wasnt planning on boycotting citgo. hell, if its substantially cheaper, i'll go there myself.

and "dictator" is overstating things; to my understanding he was democratically elected by a majority. (a majority that is poor and typically underserved by previous administrations, but a majority nonetheless).

of course i never buy that crap...it's like buying cocaine....there government makes bank on cocaine and and oil...it sucks ass!!!! never buy that crap and there gas isn't as good as bp, shell, or mobil anyways!!!! 99% of the time literally i have filled up with bp ultimate it's clear....i love shell v power also...it is 99% the same fuel used in Ferrari's formula 1 team!!!!

In case you didn't take high school economics:
You're upset because they threatened to not sell us oil to drive up prices? So instead you're going to fight this buy NOT buying their oil? You don't make any sense. These two things are one and the same. Doing either will drive up prices.

This is *almost* as bad as the "lets not buy gas from this gas station and then it will lower prices and others will have to follow" argument. I firmly believe the reason the US economy is going down the drain is because of uneducated consumers like yourself.

Hmm, tough choice. Buy from Saudi Arabia which is no where near being a democracy (and many within probably support terrorism) or buy from Putin (democratically elected in name only) controlled Russia which is moving towards fascism. Or buy from Chavez. What to do?
