Lol. There is no way in hell that if they ever made this land yacht, that it would be under 4000lbs.

I think NMW needs to invest in new scales. Every time I see weight numbers, they're always so much lower than reality.

Why? The F10 M5 is in everything but name an M7. A huge, heavy and uber luxurious autobahn stormer. If they build it, then please bring back the M5 as we used to know it prior to the F10.

Hopefully the new CEO and/or regime will start to exercise some restraint. The outgoing CEO will toss an M badge on anything that moves. |

If no M7 then why X5 M? They better slap an M badge on every possible model, so that Z4 could have a higher probability of getting one too. |

As for 'why X5M?', I couldn't agree more. We have an X5 M version for people to take the kids to daycare, while the Z4 is actually out there pounding race tracks yet lacks a street M version. Joke. |

Nobody actually buys Z4's sadly. Those small roadsters have pretty small demand for whatever reason.

well...the M division is now just a marketing tool? I thought they are making sports car and the 7 series with its dimensions cant rly go in that category imo. As Carsten Pries says if there is enough demand why not, thats what people want.

BMW should have introduced an M7 into the lineup long before the the majority of the other new models that came out in the last few years. There is no S63/S65 competitor and those are practically a dime a dozen.

Sorry but M is now a money making thing like AMG (AMG G-Wagon, really?). The last real M car was the 1995 E36 M3 lightweight, or thereabouts. I'd like to see this essence brought back.

hard to believe any F-series M7 would weight anything under 4000 lbs...They can't even keep the M5/M6 under 4000 lbs
