Awesome numbers! I'm surprised mini is up so high, I remember reading not too long ago that their sales were dipping low for awhile, but I'm glad they're increasing

Wow. The X1 continues its sales free fall.
2,329 last February, but only 885 this February. If BMW grouped the X1 with the other X-trucks, it would bring down the whole truck group's sales. Sales numbers would be nearly even with last year.

The X1 should have been grouped with the trucks. It would bring down the truck sales but would further bring up passenger car sales.

What's going on with the Z4? Are they offering a high residual for the lease offers that they increased their sales?

2 sales are going to be low until they make them more in volume and promote them as heavily as the 3 series

Just looking at the two highly competitive segments:
3-Series: 8,748 C-Class: 7,072 A4: 1,924 5-Series: 3,606 E-Class: 2,409 A6: 1,282 So nothing out of the ordinary. BMW and Mercedes will continue to trade sales throughout the year and Audi remains where it is selling a low percentage of total segment sales. |

Just curious as to how the new C-Class is selling compared to the F30 and how it's trending. |

The one trend I noticed with the German brands vs. everyone else is that their sales aren't affected by their lifecycle, the sales of their cars are pretty consistent from year 1 through to year 6/7. Just taking a quick glance at the monthly sales, the C-Class actually sold 9,200 and 8,200 cars in November and December respectively and by then, news would have already broken out that a new C-Class would be coming . The same trend is found with the 3-Series.

You're absolutely right, that's exactly what it was. But I can't imagine that sales in those two months would be drastically lowered than their year-to-date average. I believe the montly average for the C-Class in 2014 was around 5,500. So I think it's safe to assume that in the month of November and December, Mercedes would have still at least sold that many C-Class's without any incentives and with the incentives, they sold an additional 3-4k cars which is still impressive given sales of the new C-Class were a couple of months away (started seeing W205 C-Class's at the start of February).

Re. the X1.It's getting long in the tooth but TBH it had a good few years all on it's own with only the Infinity EX35 and 37 as company.
We were shopping for a badge, as small as possible, SUV or hatch, and there were only two choices, X1 or EX37. In 6 months that 's grown to include the baby lexus, MKC, GLA and Q3. |

There are no X1's coming in right now. I was doing a locate the other day and there were like 40 cars on the water coming in to the Central Region. I think they are winding down production on them and don't want a ton sitting on lots in a few months time. Very odd because in December, there were a loads of them out there.
