been using Kodi on my fire tv for awhile now.
lots of great repos out there; I find myself using mostly Navix, 1channel, sportsdevil, and Genesis. Can never seem to find a reliable live TV stream though. |

Cut the cord for almost two years. Its fukin bullshit we have to pay over $100 a month for television.
Get a HD antenna for local HD channels for News, local sports, etc. Then get a media/streaming box for Kodi or whatever you use |

pheonix has all those classic cartoons..really cool... live tv stream is still the main issue, can't find a stable one... Thats why I still have basic cable+HD channels...until I find a stable stream I'll keep that current cable pkg...

1channel and Genesis have been my main addons. Anyone have a good source for streaming and sports?

nVidia Shield + kodi + hdhomerun connect + sling + ultimate home remote = pretty awesome
i'll check some of the apps i use besides those later when i get home. i have a few fire sticks too. they're okay. edit: pandora, youtube, CBS News (live news stream), Google Live Channels (combines Pluto + HD Homerun), VLC, PBS, UFC, Netflix. i don't use neflix or ufc that much so only pay when i use it which is rare. additionally, i don't really do it to save money but rather i don't like the way cable companies force unnecessary garbage. "oh you want hgtv? that's a whole different package with 25 channels you don't want but will pay for." everything should be a la carte.

unfortunately, the X button does not map at the moment but both logitec and nvidia are working on it. X is huge if you use kodi most the time. if you're going to spend the money you might want to wait for the X button. i'm still really happy with it though. ii know you didn't ask but i use the hdhomerun for digital HD OTA for free local news. it adds tuners to your network so you can watch live free tv from any device. works great in kodi... 5.1 and all. good for local emergencies.

I'm having nothing but issues w kodi on the fire stick lately. Can't get through more than five ten mins w out it pausing and starts to buffer. I have good signal strength when I check it. Don't think it's that. Someone said to stream in low quality video instead of hd but don't know where to change settings. And it seems pointless to me to watch in lq video in the first place.

Genesis has been very unstable, but 1channel works like a charm. Which wifi channel is everyone running?
