Tanning anyone?
Just heard a advertisement on the radio about tanning salon, got me thinking who actually goes to these places now...I remember they used to be super popular but personally won't use them again(first time used them scorched my arse...painful)
Anyone have a bad/good experience using these...curious to hear the reasons why people here still like them? |

I will often go 3 or 4 times before going on a vacation south. Seems to help prevent burning my pasty white Canadian ass within 5 mins of arriving down south.
I have had bad experiences with the ones you lie down on, burnt every part of my body that was touching the plastic. The stand up ones I am good. |

And if the place recently changed the bulbs...watchout for burns.

The older I get the more I like how I look. I'm starting to love my fair skinned Irish/Cuban complexion. I'm not tan like Kim Kardashian but I don't feel the need to be anymore.

Lotion at the beach for me... Don't really care if I get tan or not. If I am on an extended vacation, I'll usually get pretty dark by starting with SPF 30 for a couple of days then hitting it with SPF 15.

I used to go when I was younger; this crap was really popular in NJ. Haven gone in years and my skin is probably grateful for it.. I also came to realize I'm far from a pale skin to begin with so the tanning was pretty much a waste of cash.

Now i just get a spray tan and put a base of moisturizing 45spf on in the morning. Then apply a light waterproof spray of 15spf. By the 3rd day, I'm pretty tanned up without the burn. I'm even already naturally kind of brown as well. Maybe olive is the proper term. lol

I have a buddy who has had it 15 times on his face, yes, 15 times. I have other friends the outcomes were not as good. Long story short, protect yourself in the sun. |
