Think that's a bit more convincing.

Yes, terrible!! Sad to say you're better off not confronting people because so many are bat shit crazy. Have not heard a lot of detail other than what the news reported. The shooter rear-ended his car and then there was a confrontation. Looking forward to moving out of here in a few years...

Very unfortunate, but nothing out of ordinary. See how many people die everyday due to 3rd party's fault (whether a robber, unproffesional surgeon or a drunk bus driver).
The only thing that stands out is that he was famous.
The fact that it was road confrontation...the result could be same if someone bumped against his shoulder in 7/11.
Always use caution when dealing with angry people and/or be armed to the extent you can.

At least liberals are not gonna play race card here.

Saw that on nfl.com early this morning. Incredibly sad news. Sigh. Human lives are so disposable nowadays.

New evidence coming out. Not saying I'm happy about what happened to him, but it looks like Karma caught up to Mr. Smith in a rather large way.

Don't hit people with your car and then flee the scene.

Looks like Hayes braked abruptly for no reason. Don't see why he hit brakes mid-block. Could be he wanted to get hit? But then he followed and that's what will be reviewed. Can't shoot someone when you're the agresor. I'm sure more twists and turns to follow regarding what happened after they stopped and got out.

Looks like Will Smith rear-ended the Hummer in front of him then tried to drive away. Still, it's no reason for the other guy to shoot him and his wife. At least be a man and get into a Russian road-rage type fist fight (no weapons)...if getting into fights and being injured is your thing.

After reading several comments on the subject, it's amazing how many other individuals have experienced situations where guns were brandished in NO (due to road rage). What a crazy world we live in...

There's video online of the hit-and-run.

It's a busy city street, there easily a dozen possible reasons someone would randomly slow down in the middle of a block. I'm sure you're right that there will be more info before we know why it happened the way it did.

Totally agree. I just couldn't see anyone or anything in the street at the edge of the video frame. More to come.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...ting/82954768/

Dude had a loaded gun in his car and after the dispute escalated he was going to get it and told the guy that shot him he was going for his piece.

As soon as he turned around i would have shot him as well. Be cause if he got to his piece the tables could have turned. Mostly likely this was a case of a celebrity figure trying to act tough for getting rear ended but met the wrong G and the G was a bigger bad ass and capped him before Smith could.

i do feel bad for the kids though

I'll be interested to see how this plays out in court. I'm not sure it meets the criteria for lethal force, although IANAL and I know jack about LA self-defense laws.
